Seeing from the being of the university, creativity is by nature. When the mankind comes into being, the idea of creation is born and acts of creation begin immediately. However, the different ethnic groups have different creative ideas and methods. By compareing the development of creatology at home and abroad, it can provide some useful references for the development of creatology of our country.According to the Development and Research of the creatology at home and abroad, it collected some research informations at home and abroad through literature research, participation in meetings, and consultation with experts, and so on. It used methods including induction and deduction, comprehensive analysis, comparative analysis, case studies. By the logical thinking of past, present and future, it discussed the development of creatology at home and abroad, with distinctive innovation and practical significance.Firstly, it reviewed the history and current status of development of creatology at home and abroad. The modern creatology was born in the United States in the1930s and1940s. In1950, Guilford had the inspiring creativity speech which raised the climax of the development for creatology once again. After that the theoreis and techniques of creatology were widely disseminated to the rest of the world. In abroad, the idea and spirit of creativity have been integrated into government policies and systems, universties and colleges have become necessary places for creativity research, civil society organizations have played an important role in enhancing and popularity of creativity, creative culture has become one of the important parts of creativity research, development and popularization. In China, creative education had been proposed in the1930s and1940s, but it didn’t become mainstream. It was in the1950s and1960s that research of creatology began in Taiwan Province of China, but the creatology came into Chinese mainland in the early1980s. In a word, creatology of China has achieved fruitful results in theory and practice, and creative orgnizations have established many innovative experimental bases. At the same time, the creative orgnizations of China strengthen cooperation and exchange with other orgnizations at abroad. But there are still many problems can be seen by comparing the development of creatology of China with developed countries’.Secondly, it compared and analysed the main contents of theory of creatology in domestic and international. Theories of foreign creatology mainly reveals the creative process, creativity, creative techniques and other related contents. The modern theory of creatology directly comes from psychology. At the same time, it formed three representative cores:the creative thinking in the United States, the creative techniques in Japan and the regularity study of invention in the former Soviet Union. Overall, the theory of creatology of China is in the following the abroad. But there are some representative theories of creatology in China, for example, the creative theory based on psychology, the creative theories in Marxism as a guide, the creative theories in Chinese traditional culture as the axis, the creative theory in original innovation as the main theme. By comparison, it gives a new direction for the development of creatology of China.Thirdly, taking Japanese invention for example, it compared and analysed the invention of domestic and foreign. Japan attaches great importance to inventions, and also very focuses on the construction of the patent system. It is the formation of a favorable interactive mechanism between the patent system and the invention, Japanese inventions ranks the world’s top, especially invention patent more advantage. Compared China with Japan, inventions of China seem weak, especially invention patents is even more inadequate.By comparing Japanese inventions and the relevant circumstances with China’s, it found the difference in cognitive and practice concept of creation between two countries. This also gives the usefulness of the reference to the development of creative studies of China in the future.Fourth, taking creative curriculums of colleges and universities in China and the United States for example, it compared and analysed the current situations on creative education at home and abroad. Creative curriculums have been set in all of colleges and universities of United States, and it has formed the system of development and training of creativity. It is closely linked to creative and innovative practice of American society, and has had a major role in economic and social development of U.S.. At present, creative studies courses have been opened in all colleges and universities of U.S. Creative courses set in Chinese universities was also emerged in the good state of development trends. However, it is quite weak to compare it with the American Universities. According to statistics, there are just over100of Chinese universities opened creative studies courses, and creative theories being out of touch greatly with the creative and innovative practice. By comparing creative courses of colleges and universities between China and U.S., it can see the gap of creative education between two countries. And this can also provide a little inspiration for the development of creatology of China.Fifth, taking creativity activities of creative organizations for example, it compared and analysed the current situations of the spread of creatology in the Chinese Cross-Strait. Since the1950s and1960s, non-governmental organizations of creatology played an important role in spreading creative ideas, creativity development in Taiwan Province of China, it has laid a rich theoretical and practical basis for the development of creatology of Taiwan Province. Early1980s, the creatology has been introduced into the Mainland. Since then, the Chinese inventions Association, China Creative Studies Institute, Creative Industry Association, the Cultural and Creative Industry Association and other types of organizations of creatology have been established, it effectivly promotes international standards for the creatology of China. By comparing the spreaded situation of creatology in the Chinese Cross-Strait, it can further explore the positive and effective space for the development of China Creative Studies.Sixth, it analysed the factors of plight about status of creatology in China, and put forword the basic framework and ideas of building for the creatology of China in the future. It has the deviation of its theoretical development, but also has the external factors of education, family, societ, in the building of creatology of China. In order to build the creatology with Chinese Characteristics, the building of creatology of China should be based on Chinese culture. It is the building framework and practical methods of creatology of China that named change from life and growth to the endless of creation, from the lost hart to the Tao of creation. At the same time, it put forward the view of personality on converting the "internal saints outside the king" in the construction of the creatology of China. In a word, it is the Marxism, the Chinese excellent culture and the integrated innovative concept that make up the soul, the base and the target for the building of the creatology of China in the future.As seen above, by comparing and analysing the development of creatology at home and abroad, it has some inspiration for the construction and development of creatology of China in the future.
