With the intensifying development of the society,economic globalization and enterprise management internationalization,the competition between enterprises is no longer limitet to the quality of products and services.The requirements proposed by consumers will no longer be limited to its revenue and the profit as well.Under the practice pressure of increasing serious resuource shortage and environmental pollution,the corporate stakeholder’s requirement on enterprise has advanced to the social responsibility stage.They have to propose the pructus should be environment protection,humanized employment,pollution-free,service public,the benefit mankind and so on.With frequent outbreaks of sweatshops,the infringement of consumer rights and interests,occupational safty,labor disputes,environmental pollution and other issues draw more and more concern on corporates responsibility becomes the enormous pressure and momentum for enterpreses,Corporate social responsibility practice has proved that the whether fulfilling their social responsibility has become an important weight to comptet in the international market for enterprises,many foreign companies regard social responsibility as a long-term investment,and social responsibility as the important tool to obtain competitive.The concept of CSR was first proposed by Western theory of community in the19th century.but it was not until1950s,CSR practicing in various fields.The conclution of CSR can enhance the competitiveness of enterprises is widely recognized by international community which is not easy,a series of debate on whether the corporate committed to social responsibility. Most liberal economists questioned the function of CSR,they thaught the funamental purpose of enterprise is profitable,and to fulfill CSR contrary to achieve the ultimate goal of maximization profit. A series of scholars represented by Mike Porter have clearly stated that CSR could be internalized into the core of comeptitiveness,and the corporate which compliance the standard of CSR will be more favored by the shareholder,and can continue to stand in the markte of fiercely competitive. Eepecially since the1990s,with the development of economic socitey international,the connotation and extension of CSR has been further enrich and expand,and showed a trend to continue to expand.With the changes of people’s values、consumer attiltudes and the current reality of China’s lack of CSR, the way of manage thought must adjust with the requirement of ethical to the development corporate. In the new social enviroment,the way of fulfill profit have been changed from just relying on market to the interests of shareholders and the mode of competition have changed to intiative undertake a series of CSR. Currently the study of theory over CSR and Competitiveness have turned from whether CSR fulfillent impact competitiveness to how to impact.Effective fufilled CSR is part of cor comeptitiveness of enterprises,the exploration of CSR and competitiveness are already visible,but it still difficult to implement in practice cause the study of it have to relate current development with theory,and to guide practice. This article symtematic study on CSR and Competitiveness which absorption theory essence come from both domestic and international corporate.This article based on analysis both theory and annual financial statements of listed companies,accroding to research needs, select the chemical industry financial data of2006-2010,use SPASS、EVIEWS software analysis data,and set the indicators of CSR and competitiveness to study the relationship of CSR and corporate comptitiveness.Finally,the effective measures to enhance the competitiveness of CSR,and prosposed to bulid a long term linkage mechanism of government、corporate and society,and try to change the fulfillment of CSR from objective requirement into a subjective initiative,in order to fill the blank of the reality of theoretical research to provide a reference to development of enterprises.This article use panel date of listed companies to bulid CSR and comeptitiveness rather than the traditional study metheds which avoid the problem of reliability and validity of questionnaire.And then accordance with the listed companies to disclose financial data to establish a analytical framework and use empirical analysis to analysis the relationship between them. Finally, in order to promote the factors of CSR of comtetitiveness convert to the factors of implementation and upgrade factors, I promote a long-term mechanism among corporate、gornment and social.The framework of this study designed between the research questions and research content,and total use seven chapter to study.Chapter Ⅰ,Identify research questions,according to the reality at home and abroad,described the research background and the practical and theoricetical significance of this stduy,determine the research objectives,content and methods and proposed the routes and the framework.Chapter Ⅱ,Literature Review.This chapter focuses on summarize and Commentary the research status、research progress of CSR and Competitiveness,then Research on the relationship between the collection,sorting and commentary. Chapter III,the analysis of mechanism between competitiveness and CSR.This chapter base on the theme of the study,explain the impact factors of how CSR produce competitiveness,and the social social mechanisms and internal conditions,and analysis the realtionship between CSR and competitiveness,laying the groundwork for the later studies.Chapter IV,study design, This section is mainly for the later empirical research,from the data acquisition,sample selection,all aspects of the design of indicators and assumptions of the study.On the basis of the theory of pre-theoretical results, identified the research program and theoretical assumptions,get ready for the effective and sicentific finish for the next empirical study.Chapter V,Empirical analysis,this chapter on the basis of literature review,according to the indicators,futher modified them,at the same time set the samples,and then on the basis of data collection,use the factors analysis, correlation analysis, and one-way ANOVA of spass13.0analysis the impact of CSR to Cometitiveness.Chapter VI, Suggestions. According to the conclusitons,in order to promote better fulfill CSR,build a model of how to enchance and implentation the effective of CSR.We must launch a mechanism which adhering to the development of socitey to make corporate,society and government Coordinated development,this paper on the principle of fair and objective and rational,proposed a set of upgrade meechanism which named long-term linkage mechanism of corporate,government and society.Chapter VII Conlusions and Prospects. This chapter focuses on the research of extracted and summarized of the findings of study,and proposed manage measures, innovations,limititions and prospects.The conclutions of this pater are as follows:By theoretical analysis, empirical analysis of corporate social responsibility can enhance corporate competitiveness. Details are as follows:1.The results of factors analysis in line with the actual development of China.First,the correlation between shareholders and comepetitiveness is the highest. Second,the correlation between vendor’s responsibility with competitiveness is a low positivecorrelation,third,shardholder’s responsibility with competitiveness is no high,forth,the responsibility between government with comepetitiveness were negatively correlated.in the correlation analysis,the the responsibility of government’s three-year data is negative,the responsibility of the government of each year show a low negative correlation.2.The discussion between correlation analysis and regression analysis of CSR and competitiveness.specifics are as follows:we could know about the correlation anaslyis of CSR and competitive that the current corporate social responsibility is a negative correlation with the current competitiveness of enterprises.The correlation between pre-social responsibility and the current social responsibility,with the time going,the correlation is gradual increase.however,with the further development of corporate,the fulfillment of CSR will further evolve to the competitiveness of enterprises.3.The results analysis of one-way ANOVA.According to the results of one-way ANOVA:the performance of CSR with the size of firm is propotortinoal.Different years of commitment to social rsponsibility have not significantly different.On the basis of control variable of firm size and firm age which impact CSR,construct a panel data model further study the impact factors of corporate comptitiveness,we know that CSR have effective promote to corporate competitiveness,there is no significant promote to competitiveness,and the firm size to enhance CSR is not very singificant,more directly contribute to the competitiveness of enterprises,the scale of firm is no directly impact to competitiveness,but it can promote the enhancement of CSR.On the basis of use Unit Root test that the each dimision of CSR and corporate competitiveness is stationary sequence,and use vector autoregressive model analysis CSR to shareholder, creditors,government employment responsibility and responsibility of governent revenue andsupplier responsibility’s impact to corporate competitiveness that lag three period.The results show that creditors have positive effective in promoting the competitiveness of enterprises,in the long term, government employment responsibilities and tax responsibilities can enhance corporate competitiveness,but responsibility of suppliers has a negative impact.Based on Vector auto-regression model I bulid a model about corporate competitiveness toward the impulse response on the competitiveness of enterprises on the surface of social responsibility.The results showed that creditor responsibility bring the same direction toward competitiveness,and this shock has a long duration effect; Responsibility of government employment impact on the competitiveness of enteiprises, did not show much impact, The impact of the Government’s tax liability on long-term stable positive effect after a short-term negative impact of the competitiveness of enterprises;Possible innovation of this paper are as follows:According to industry property in accordance with the chemical industry industry’s latest data on the basis of reality of development status,and analysis the corrlation between CSR and corporate competitiveness.2.this paper use panel data to verify the relationship between CSR and corporate comptetitiness,and then use vector autoregressino model to analyze the impact to corporate competitiveness on a conditition of lag period.3.constructed a proposed countermeasures to enhance the competitiveness of corporate,and build a long-term mechanism among government,society and corporate,attempting to make the fulfillment of CSR becomes subjective from the objective to subjective in order to fill the blank of real theoretical studies and provide a reference to the development of enterprises.This paper basis on previous theoretical study,though Stringent requirements, but there are still many factors can not be taken into account,and still some inadequacies.First,select the chemical industry as a sample of this research that samples is limited,therefore,the following study there is still much space.Secondly,because of the data availability and operability,in selecting indicators does not considered the interests of consumers,public and environmental.and as we all know,the lack of these factors will impact the results of this study.Therefore,suggest the follow-up scholars of relevant study should take into consideration of these several dimensions.Finally,although this paper verify the relationship between CSR and corporate competitiveness,and the theoretical analysis shows that CSR can impact consumers,environmentalal charity and many other aspects。Though the description theory and method is feasible,but the operation in practice still need further study in the future.There is still a long exploration of this study to establish CSR theroy that in line with Chinese national conditions.
