To sovle the problems of supporting difficulties in complicated field conditions, thedistrict roadway in Fenxi mining area were classified, and the reasonable supportingparameters of each roadway type was put forward. The recent ten years scientific workin Fenxi mining area was summarized through field investigation and further researcheson deformation characteristics and reasons of roadways. The stability classificationindexes summary sheet was designed in which11indexes were determined, and58roadways data in Fenxi mining area were organized into sample database, the BPartificial neural network model was established by using of Matlab software which hasclassified the roadway. Then, the mining roadway supporting technology was studiedcomprehensively based on classification research, and roadway D1206of Xinyu minewas chosen as a typical representation. Under the guidance of coal roadway’s strongsidewall and corner theory, combining with theoretical analysis and numericalsimulation, the reasonable supporting scheme and supporting parameter tables ofvarious type district roadway were obtained. The classification and supporting researchachievements were carried out for field application, and good underground supportingeffect was obtained according to the industrial test on D1206material roadway.
