Study On The Spatial Structure Of The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration On The Base Of The Organic Growth Theory

The Theory of Organic Growth has originally been a theory of Biology, but it has been already used in study of Urban Planning. This theory considered that there is similar way existed between the life-forms and the cities and the urban agglomerations. The way could be divided into four stages:the Inoculation, the Green Shoots, the Development and the Mature. As the time goes by, the spatial structure of the cities and urban agglomerations will be change some, but it would not departure from centain directions or scopes. Those directions or scopes must be the inherent laws of organic growth of the cities and the urban agglomerations in fact. If we study those laws thorough, we can find the internal development mechanism of the cities and the urban agglomerations, and make suitable optimized model for them.In recent years, with the accelerating of the industrialization and the urbanization, the urban agglomerations have become the main forces of the urbanization of China. Compared with the Megalopolis and the Metropolitan of foreign Countries, the Chinese urban agglomeration has the obvious characteristics, such as the ecological regions existing among the cities, Urban-rural division clearly, the structures of functional classification existed in the urban agglomerations. Under the impact of these characteristics, there are relatively clear spatial structures existed in the Chinese urban agglomerations. If we use the Organic Growth Theory of the urban agglomeration to research the formation, development, evolution, influence of the spatial structure, we can summarize the inherent laws of development of Chinese urban agglomeration accurately.The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration is located in the inland areas of China. It also has been the important demonstration area of the construction of Resources-saving and Environment Friendly Society of China. This urban agglomeration is in the process of rapid development, which urgent need to scientific guide and planning. Compared with the mature urban agglomeration in the coastal area, study on the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration has more pratical value. On the base of the demostic and foreign theories of organic growth and the theories and methods of study on the spatial structure of the urban agglomeration, this paper used the factor analysis, the spatial analysis on the status quo and historic trends of development of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration. It also made a dynamic simulation predication on this urban agglomeration to forecast the future situation. Based on above elements, this paper has draw up an optimized model on the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration, and raised some supported measures for this model. This paper tried to use the research on the spatial structure of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration to prove the possibility of the Theory of Organic Growth apply to the Chinese urban agglomerations. It also can improve the methodology system of study on the spatial structure of the urban agglomeration, and give some references on the idea and method for scholars in the field of Chinese urban agglomeration.This paper can be divided into10parts. In the first part, it mainly described the research background, theoretical and practical values and the research mentality. In the second part, it introduced the national and international research tendency which associated with the paper, and raised the idea and content of the organic growth theory of the urban agglomeration. In the third part, it bulit the theoritcal system of the organic growth theory of the urban agglomeration, and climbed the sources of related theories. In the fourth part, it analyzed the status quo about the traffic location, historical evolution, development background and the development of cities, industries, economics and society of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration. In the fifth part, it used the Element Analysis to research the status quo spatial structure of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration. In the sixth part, it used the Gird Cells Analysis and Centrifugal Analysis to make a spatial analysis on the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration. It summarized the organic growth trend of it, and judged its spatial structure mode. In the seventh part, it use the Dynamic Simulation to simiulate the organic growth trend of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration, and forcast the its spatial structure mode in future. It also decutive its development trend in2020and2030. In the eighth part, it made a main functional zoning on the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration, and constructed the optimization plans about the spatial structure and organic growth which fit the whole interest of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration. In the nineth part, it raised some countermeasures rely on the optimization plans. In the tenth part, It concluded the research and analysis of this paper, and summaried its mainly reference values and emphasis in the next step.
