The Research Of Haidai Region Bronze In Eastern Zhou Peirod

Into the Eastern Zhou Period, Zhou dynasty gradually lost its dominance of thevassal states Western Zhou Dynasty had owned, this change in political situationoffered a relaxed environment for the development of the vassal states; they strived todevelop their own strength. The changes in the pattern of political made the bronzevessel as the reflection of the hierarchical system and ritual change the old enshrinedZhou style. From metaphase the Spring and Autumn period on, bronze vessel of thevassal states gradually appeared distinctive regional characteristics; regional bronzecultural circle had been formed. The Spring and Autumn period Yixing vassal state，Doyi ancient country and Zhanguo Qiguo bronze vessel have distinctive regionalcharacteristics in Haidai region, therefore, this region bcame a regional bronzecultural circle.On the basis of previous studies, this paper deeply explored the regionalcharacteristics of the Haidai Region bronze vessel in funerary combination form andshape and ornamentation, while made the discussion of the related problems. Thebody of this paper is composed of seven chapters：Chapter one traced the Eastern Zhou period of Haidai region bronze culturehistory and explored the culture tradition of bronze characteristics formed in EasternZhou period of Haidai region. This chapter first discussed the appearance anddevelopment of the Zhongyuan Shang culture in Haidai region, analyzed its impact toHaidai region cultural pattern. Mainly analyzed the Western Zhou Dynasty bronzeculture in Haidai region，elucidated the relation between the Western Zhou dynastybronze culture and Western Zhou dynasty bronze culture.Chapter two researched Luguo bronze vessel in the Spring and Autumn period.This chapter collected unearthed Luguo bronze vessels and Handed down bronzevessels of this period. By the research of these bronze vessels, deeply analyzed thecharacteristics of Luguo bronze vessel funerary combination form and shape, andexplored the reason of it formed. In addition, the chapter discussed the characteristicsof the Jixing vassal state Tengguo bronze vessel of this time. Chapter three studied Qiguo bronze vessel in the Spring and Autumn period.This chapter did typological analysis to the Qiguo bronze vessel and stage research；Then studied the evolution process and regional characteristics of Qiguo bronzevessel funerary combination form；At last discussed the regional characteristics ofQiguo bronze vessel.Chapter four discussed bronze vessel of Yixing vassal state except for Qiguo andDongyi ancient country in the Spring and Autumn period. This chapter firstresearched the bronze vessel of Xueguo and Jiguo. The two counties are Yixing vassalstates, but their bronze vessel of this period had obvious difference. The chapterthoroughly analyzed the reasons of the differences. There were many Dongyi ancientcountries in the Haidai Region. Bronze vessel of all Dongyi ancient countries has acertain similarity with Zhongyuan region, at the same time they have strong regionalcharacteristics. In Dongyi ancient country inside their bronze vessel have a certainsimilarity in funerary combination form and shape, however, there were greatdifferences among them. The chapter studied the difference between Dongyi ancientcountry and Zhongyuan region，and the difference in Dongyi ancient country inside.Chapter five through analyzing the cultural factors of the Spring and Autumnperiod Dongyi bronze vessel, Investigated the fusion between Zhou culture andDongyi bronze culture in Jixing and Yixing vassal states. First, the chapter analyzedthe Dongyi bronze vessel and Dongyi cultural factor in Jixing vassal state Luguo andTengguo. Second, studied the Dongyi bronze vessel and Dongyi cultural factor inYixing vassal states Qiguo and Xueguo. At last, interpreted the influence of the fusionof two cultures.Chapter six studied Qiguo bronze vessel in the Zhanguo period. On the basis oftype analysis, divided Zhanguo Qiguo bronze vessel into three periods, then discussedthe regional characteristics of Qiguo bronze vessel funerary combination form andshape. In addition, this chapter also analyzed bronze and combined with the ancientliterature examines the development of Qiguo in the Zhanguo period.Chapter seven explored the influence of Chu, Wu, and Yue southern bronzeculture to the bronze culture of Haidai region. From the late Spring and AutumnPeriod, these three southern countries expanded to Haidai region at various times, the expansion took southern bronze culture to Haidai region. This Chapter retrieved thesouthern bronze culture actors in Haidai region, and discussed the influence of themto the bronze culture of Haidai region.
