As an important carrier of culture, language not only bears the weight of national culture, but also gets involved in the establishment of the culture. Therefore, in order to know about Chinese culture further, we should get to know more about the language of Chinese. Comparison is an effective way to recognize the feature of a culture as all the characteristics of a culture will become distinctively clear after comparison. The object taken for comparison can be a western language which varies a lot from Chinese, it also can be another kind of eastern language, for instance, Japanese, which is similar to Chinese. This thesis selects Japanese as the language for comparison with Chinese, because the so-called "speciosity" that seems alike will be easier to lead to misunderstanding and will possibly bring more harm and fraudulence. Therefore, this thesis will be written by the method of comparing two eastern languages, Chinese and Japanese, and probe into the national and cultural specialty of Chinese. The main ideas of the thesis that have been drawn out from my study are as follows, comparing with the cultural specialty of Chinese which focuses more on judging persons or events from the perspective of its social value and we named it as "social extraversion", Japanese focuses more on expressing sincerely the real emotion of individuals. However, this is one of the reflections of the relativity and symbiosis of Chinese. The essence of Chinese national and cultural characteristics lies in understanding a thing by putting emphasis on mutual consultation, comparison and pursuing the relativity and symbiosis in discourse. Because it commonly emerged in Chinese, such as Chinese character, idioms, proverbs, phrases, traditional poem and couplets and extensively reflected in many aspects of Chinese spiritual activities, such as the cognition on the flesh from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and the Taoism outlook of life. And the formation of this essence comes from the strong attention and desire of Chinese to harmonious relations with other nationalities and the survival environment for Chinese ancestors in the society of multi-cultural collision.
