The Early Republic As A Method——Literature Revolution In Local Perspective

The Literature Revolution of the May4th period was a turning-point in the History of Chinese Literature. The depth understanding of the Literature Revolution not only has the academic value, but also has the practical significance. It can provide a reference for the Current development trend of literature.The understanding of the Literature in the Beginning of the Republic of China is made up with Southern Society Scholars, Survivor Poems of the Qing Dynasty, Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies, and Muckraking Novels for long periods. This paper tries to understand the beginning of the Republic of China in republican context, and examine the Late Qing and May4th in reverse, which can provide a new research idea for the transformation of Modern Chinese Literature.This paper discuss the relationship between the Beginning of the Republic of China and the Literary Revolution from the four sides:The first chapter is to examine the role of conversion of "the beginning of the Republic of China" in the history of literary revolution; The second chapter is based on the novel, which can best represents the style of modern Chinese perspective, to show "the beginning of the Republic of China" as a original significance. Chapter three choose "youth magazine" and "New Youth" as the research object, which was the most important carriers in literature revolution, to demonstrate the opening of the literary revolution itself is also among the early Republican period. The fourth chapter discusses how new literature in the beginning of the Republic of China move up.To sum up, this paper is not to study the literature in the early republic from the Meaning of Ontology, but to explore the "Beginning of the Republic of China" as a method. It not only take the beginning of the Republic of China as a research object, but also hope to reconstruct the picture of the evolution of Chinese literature history. This paper will put the study objects into the context of that time and get rid of the meta-concepts and ideas, to stress find the important juncture of Literature Revolution in the period of early Republic.
