The hot point of20th century art history focuses on the Chineselandscape paintings in recent years. Mount huang is the most important andnotable motif of Chinese landscape paintings in20th century, the landscapepaintings that created around the Mount huang motif show distinctivecharacteristics of the times at different stages of20th Century. Throughthe study of the characteristics of the Chinese landscape paintings, wecan know the trait and law of Chinese painting development as well as thedifficulties confronted by the painters and the metods they used to sovlethese difficulties. The study to Mount huang paintings makes great sensenot only in riching the research findings of20th century art history, butalso in providing reference for chinese painters. In this article, thereserches are studied around the Mount huang paintings that rised in1930sand the three representatives—Huang Binhong (the home missing Mount huangwanderer), Zhang Daqian(the foreign tourists)and Wang Caibai (the native),the choice of topic, the creative thinking and the background of economyand culture will be expatiated deeply in this article. The Schema analysisof the Mount huang paintings created by these three representatives willbe studied in order to know how the paintings be used to reflect thebeautiful scenery of Mount huang.The features of Mount huang as culturallandscape are studied in order to observe how the great painters combiningthe Natural aesthetics and the social needs to create immortal works ofart.
