The researching materials of this paper are the materials which concerned aboutthe cursive writing except for the orderly and standard materials of the bambooscripts in Han Dynasty. This paper observed and studied the characteristics ofthe words, writing situation, and the arrangement of the annotation and whatnot,which mainly focused on the bamboo scripts in the middle and later periods.This paper especially paid attention to making the textual explanations andsotring out the relevant words. According to the research of this paper, itdiscovered and solved about400mistakes of the study of the bamboo scripts inHan Dynasty, in addition, it established the latest corpus of the cursive writing.This paper had two parts, the first patr chiefly concerned about the introductionand the monographic study, the second part concentrated on the corpus of thecursive writing. The first part contained11chapters. Chapter One is theintroduction which introduced the current researching situation, the existingproblems, the decision of the researching materials and the researchingsignificance of the paper. Chapter Two further investigated the relevantmaterials of this paper, including the published situation of the interrelatedlayouts, the clarity problems of the layouts, the amounts of the cursive writing,the content and the quality and the characteristics of the cursive writing of thebamboo scripts in Han Dynasty. Chapter Three investigated the confusion of thehomographic phenomena and corrected some misunderstandings of theconfusion of the homographs. Chapter Four dealt with a plenty of the mistakeswhich were produced by the misunderstandings of some characters with similarforms. Chapter Five observed the ordinary patterns and some special situationsof the cursive writing of the bamboo scripts in Han Dynasty. Chapter Sixrevealed several mistakes of the original mistaken characters of the currentannotations. The seventh chapter generalized the compound writing, the ligatureand some special writing phenomena. Chapter Eight is the study of the singlecharacter patterns, which providing the examples about the origins of the particular characters and some instances about the misunderstandings of thecursive writing. Chapter Nine concerned about the collection of the bamboo slipsand provided with the mistakes which are caused by the unknowing andmisunderstanding of the cursive writing. Chapter Ten simply probed into thesotring situation of the existing bamboo scripts. It considered the existingannotations of the bamboo scripts had some serious mistakes, which needed tobe reorganized futrher. The last chapter of the first part summarized theexperience about deciding the methods of the check and interpretation. In orderto not influence the fluency of the paper, some trivial, some particular problemsand several diagrams which are referred in the paper are collected in theAppendix. The Appendix contained variously detailed collations of the cursivewriting, the list for investigation of the published situation of the layouts, theemendation tables of The Corpus of Cursive Writing of Han Dynasty, the list ofthe annotations of this paper and some other feature atricles. The first and thesecond chapter are the introduction and the survey of this paper. The third,fourth, fifth and sixth chapter are the futrher research of the homographs, thecharacters with similar form, the popular form of characters and themisunderstanding characters. Chapter Seven is the observation of the writingphenomenon. Chapter Eight and Nine made an exploration about the specificproblems about the check and interpretation. The last two chapters are theconsideration and further exploration of the annotation and the check andinterpretation.The second part of this paper is the corpus of the bamboo scripts in HanDynasty. The main body of the corpus which can be divided into14segments isranked on the basis of the order about the radicals of ShuoWen. The main bodyof the corpus totally collects almost3000preifxes,more than28000characterpatterns. The attachment of the corpus contains the controversial characters,the unexplained characters, the compound characters, the ligatures and symboltables.
