Urban social structure is the reflect of economic and social structure in the physical space. From their distribution in the urban space, most of them locate in the areas of disadvantage and there is certain degree of isolation between them and urban residents.Space isolation may has impact on migrants’ urban integration. From existing research about migrant’s urban integration, less research are from space perspective. It is based on this background, this thesis study space isolation between the migrants and urban residents from the perspective of space and discuss the space isolation to what extent influence migrants’ integration. This thesis studied immigrants’ space segregation and urban integration from both the macro and micro aspects taking xi’an’s immigrants as research object. Establishing a regression model to analyze spatial segregation and immigrants’ urban integration. The main points and conclusions are as follows:From the changes in the space structure of the Xi’an City, Strict hierarchy had greatest impact on traditional society. The different classes of people occupy different spaces of the city And has a strict space segregation; Before the reform and opening up, Urban space structure related to the unit-system. After the reform and opening up, factors which influence city space structure has became diversified. Among these factors, urban planning, the development of the real estate market and the individuals and families to choose his residence Behavior are more important.From2000to2010, The Xi’an immigrants increased quickly, among the six districts,Yanta district’s immigrants is the most, Beilin district has the highest population density, Yanta district has the most concentrated immigrants, Beilin district has the highest degree of isolation. The driving force of immigrants’ urban spatial distribution comes from social structure and individual aspects. There is a certain degree of space segregation between immigrants and urban residents on occupational space, living space and public space. The degree of segregation is different From the perspective of immigrants and urban residents, From urban residents’standpoint, the degree of segregation is higher.Living space segregation and occupational space segregation have significant effect on immigrants’ urban integration, Human capital also has significant effect on immigrants’ urban Integration,Eliminate the space segregation will promote the immigrants’s urban integration level, But it does not mean that we mix immigrants and urban residents mechanically,Instead, we should focus on systems and policies which caused space segregation.
