A Study On Architectural Space Design Of Elderly Institution Based On The Interaction Between Space And Behavior

With the advances in medical and health care,the aging has become a worldwide problem.The society is in the face of the problem of an aging population and a new change of housing quality with the economical high speed development.According to environmental psychology,this article focuses on the analysis of the deeper meaning of architecture design,that is the interaction between architecture and human.The study is based on the survey of elderly institution in China and Japan,understand the basic condition of elderly institution,space characteristics,using status,living methods and demand of the aged.After the status survey,it analyzed the following some dimensions around the spatial constitution and interactive design:facility types,spatial elements,the basic properties of the elderly and the living behavior,domain forming and perception experience.The thesis's purpose is try to find the relationship between the spatial constitution,living behavior and perception experience.Firstly,this paper summarizes the architectural types,spatial characteristics and related welfare policies of pension system.And next it introduces personal attributes,psychological needs of the elderly and the basic characteristics of the 32 elderly institution in China and Japan through questionnaires,behavior observation and analysis of space utilization in the main chapter of the paper.On the basis of the results of these analyses,around the four layer of the aged people's dynamic behavior type,the static space position,the individual domain,the cluster field to analyze the interaction betwen the field of behaviors and the building space environment.While,study on the interaction of the four attributes of perception,the same type equation of perception,the waveform of spatial personality and the shape of perceptual emotion,the tension of field and the perception force.And then carry out graphic analysis of interaction with perception experience in the elderly.In the end,it proposed some spatial constitution models of interactive design which are adapt to the physiological features,psychological characteristics and cognitive experience of the elderly and some innovative approach about the existing elderly institution to realize the organic integration of the architectural space environment with the behavior and perceptual experience of the elderly.Provide a new perspective for the design and research of elderly institution,as well as summarize the scientific basis,perfect technical reference for the development and construction of elderly institution to build a harmonious and comfortable living environment for the elderly.
