Forest colors are important factors in scenery appreciation,and are significant indicators to measure quality.So extraction on forest colors and analysis of the relationship between forest colors and human response,it can better determine how forest color affect the public response of different levels.Thus it can be used to improve the functionality of forests for providing practice guidance.This article obtained forest sceneries from the Jiuzhai Valley and extracted the color elements of forests,containing the hue,saturation and brightness from independent programming.On the other hand,we used of ArcGIS and FRAGSTATS software to make color patches of designation and index calculation.After extracting the color characteristic indexes of forest,regarding the multi-level response of the public as evaluation factors,from the aspects of aesthetic,visual,physical and psychological levels,we analyzed major influence factors based on different response modes of public.In this part,visual tracking technology was introduced into the evaluation of the forests for the first time,with objective visual monitoring data to evaluate the visual appeal of forests.Through screening forest color impact factors,comprehensive influence index can be obtained.Thus different function models can be constructed based on comprehensive indexes.This paper screened the advantages forest types of each response mode and extracted common characteristics.Through tree category,configuration,color characteristics of adjacent trees,influence of colors on response to the public in the forest canopy of visual horizon,we studied species composition and configuration in Jiuzhai Valley.On this basis,based on the functions in beauty,visual appeal,physiological and mental relaxation,we put forward corresponding ways of forest tree species selection and configuration.This article mainly included the following aspects of research contents,methods summary and conclusion:(1)Research on color quantization and interpretation methods.Based on the HSV(Hue,Saturation and Value)color space and Euclidean distance,color space can be differentiated into H: S: V = 16:4:4 from non-uniform color quantization.And then 147 hues containing black,white and grey can be obtained after normalized processing,so were three intervals of brightness and saturation.After researching four forest sites of different color characteristics in autumn,it showed that the method can separate the colors of different forest types,thus it can be used universally.(2)Based on forest colors in Jiuzhai Valley,and evaluation indexes of aesthetic,visual,physical and psychological response,we obtained comprehensive evaluation indexes by principal component analysis.Influence degree can be determined by regression analysis on composite indexes to evaluation ones.Forests with advantage of beauty,visual appeal,physiological,mental relaxation were clustered,with comprehensive influence index as the classification indicators,forests were divided into 5,3(3),3,4 kinds of types.In addition,forests with positive impact on the public response,were used to analyze tree species composition with the categories of tree species selection.(3)Taking tree categories for grouping principle,we come down forests into 9 types with advantage of public response.In each forest types,we analyzed plant composition and species,color change rules of 3 periods in the autumn,the influence of colors of species,relationship with the public response,frequency and color contrast in forest canopy of adjacent tree species,and summarized the effects of forest plants in Jiuzhai Valley.From the color level,we explored impact of plants to the public aesthetic,visual,physical and psychological response,and adjacent laws in the natural secondary forests,and the differences of color contrast in the combination of 2,3,4 kinds of adjacent plants.Color differences or covariant regularity can be summarized,and also the growth range and periods of tree species.`(4)Based on the public aesthetic,visual,physical and psychological response,as a result,the analysis was made under different functions of forest colors,and in this mode,forest tree species selection and control methods.Based on similar color tree replacement,strong contrast plant composition,application of colorful tree species,it can be used to construct forest color sceneries with appropriate function and reasonable structure in forest canopy surface.
