Clinical Research On Taohe Chengqi Decoction And Red Rice For Hyperlipemia In Taiwan

Objective:Whether the hyperlipemia in Western medicine has "heat and blood stasis" pathogenesis or"blood-retention syndrome" characteristic is discussed by theoretical research of traditional Chinese medicine.The mechanism of Taohe Chengqi Decoction is studied by modern medicine,and the curative effect and safety of the formula for hyperlipemia are proved by clinical test,and whether there is synergistic effect with red rice is observed.Method:i.Theoretical research of traditional Chinese medicine:the CNKI is used for literature query through Nanjing Library and library literature search center,China Medical University Library Index to Taiwan Periodical Literature System,the theories and medical cases about hyperlipemia in ancient books and records are collected and studied,and the effective common drugs and foods for hyperlipemia at home and abroad are studied.The discussions about the application and composition argumentation of Taohe Chengqi Decoction by the doctors through all ages are collected,and the laboratory studies of Taohe Chengqi Decoction by modern medicine are collected,so as to analyze the treatment of hyperlipemia.The correlation between the "Taohe Chengqi Decoction","heat and blood stasis" and"blood-retention syndrome" of traditional Chinese medicine and the hyperlipemia is discussed in the above viewpoints.ii.Clinical research:the patients with hyperlipemia were collected from Chinese medicine clinics in Nantou County and Changhua County,Taiwan,from March 2016 to February 2017.There were 64 research cases for comparison,the treatment group has 33 cases,the control group has 31 cases.The data were processed by SPSS 10.0 for windows statistical analysis software,the statistical tests defined P<0.05 as statistical significance.The cases were collected according to the blood lipid abnormality index published by Chinese Adult Blood Lipid Abnormality Control Guide(2007)and the disease types matching Taohe Chengqi Decoction.The treatment group took scientific Chinese medicine Taohe Chengqi Decoction and LipoCol Forte.The control group took LipoCol Forte and placebo(japonica rice).The TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C indexes in Week 0,Week 4 and Week 8 were compared,and the Chinese medicine symptoms and integral improvement were compared.The ALT,uric acid,creatinine and hs-CRP safety indexes were observed during research.Result:In the existing theories and studies of traditional Chinese medicine,the hyperlipemia is related to three organs,which are spleen,liver and kidney,there are pathological product factors,such as phlegm turbidity,damp retention and blood arthralgia.According to the discussion and research of predecessors and documents,the "heat and blood stasis" or "blood-retention syndrome" is closely bound up with the course and the future complications of hyperlipemia.According to the research on blood rheology,the hyperlipemia presents high thickness,high coagulation and inflammation in blood,matching the condition of experimental animal in the"blood stasis and heat accumulation" study.Based on predecessors’ findings and the research of modern medicine,in the condition of "heat and blood stasis",i.e.in the condition of"blood-retention syndrome",the Taohe Chengqi Decoction can treat hyperlipemia to some extent.In addition,clinical research:i.After 8 weeks’ treatment,the comprehensive curative effect of the two groups is analyzed below.Test group:13 cases of apparent effect(39.4%),13 cases of effectiveness(39.4%)and 7 cases of no effect(21.2%),the total effective rate is 78.79%.Control group:11 cases of apparent effect(35.5%),11 cases of effectiveness(32.3%)and 9 cases of no effect(29.0%),the total effective rate is 70.97%.There is no statistical difference between the clinical comprehensive curative effects of test group and control group(P>0.05).ii.There is no significant difference between the blood fat indexes of test group and control group before treatment(P>0.05).There is significant difference in TC,TG and LDL-C of test group and control group before and after treatment(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in HDL-C index of control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).There is significant difference in HDL-C index of test group before and after treatment(P<0.05).iii.The 8 weeks’ Chinese medicine integral shows the two groups are improved,the test group has significant curative effect.There is statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).iv.In terms of 8 weeks’ curative effect on syndromes,test group:13 cases of apparent effect(39.39%),15 cases of effectiveness(45.45%)and 5 cases of no effect(15.15%),the total effective rate is 84.85%.Control group:6 cases of apparent effect(19.35%),8 cases of effectiveness(25.81%)and 16 cases of no effect(51.61%),the total effective rate is 45.16%.The apparently effective rate,effective rate and total effective rate of test group are higher than control group,there is significant difference in statistics(P<0.05).v.According to 8 weeks’ safety observation,there is no apparent adverse reaction on liver function SGPT(ALT),hs-CRP,uric acid,glucose and creatinine of test group and control group during the whole clinical test.Conclusion:The traditional Chinese medicine theory and the research of modern medicine prove that the hyperlipemia is correlated with "heat and blood stasis" pathogenesis or "blood-retention syndrome" of Chinese medicine,and it can be proved by clinical test with Taohe Chengqi.The clinical research results show that the Taohe Chengqi Decoction and red rice have definite curative effect on the patients with hyperlipemia in Taiwan.The test group has significant curative effect on improving symptoms,apparently better than control group.Taohe Chengqi Decoction is effective on reducing blood fat to some extent,it can reduce TC,LDL and TG effectively and increase HDL-C,so as to reduce the occurrence of future cardiovascular disease.The test group is better than control group in Chinese medicine symptoms.In terms of safety,the two groups have no apparent adverse reaction during treatment.The results show that Taohe Chengqi Decoction not only supports the treatment of hyperlipemia in basic theory of Chinese medicine,but also treats hyperlipemia in clinical test,and it is safe.Therefore,with the help of dialectic theory of Chinese medicine,the Taohe Chengqi Decoction is effective on treating hyperlipemia to some extent,and it is definitely safe.
