As one of the most important parts of a country's industrial development,cultural industry not only enhances the international competitiveness,but also plays an increasingly leading role in national economy.With the depression of hypostatic economy,which consumes much resource but yields little,cultural industry gains more attention from the worldwide and the rapid growing of corresponding cultural trade contributes to the mass expanding of cultural market scale.Thanks to the significant driving effect for economy,cultural trade has become an important index measuring a country's economic potentiality.From the worldwide perspective,the percentage of cultural trade in the whole export volume is changing greatly,and the ratio varies same as the total trade volume.Although our country lacks market competitiveness at present,we still have a lot of chances to develop.For instance,as China participates in more international business than ever,the economic potentiality and international influence increases correspondly,which will all stimulate more international market demand for Chinese cultural consumption.What causes international trade,or what should be export and import for a country,as one of the four important question in trade,has always been a problem for scholars to study on and the source of innovation on trade theory.This problem seems to be more significant and complex in the field of cultural trade.This paper focuses on the current situation and existing problems of China's cultural trade,trying to find out the possible factors that influence cultural trade,from the aspects of demand and supply.In terms of demand,we use the cultural expense demand caused by cultural distances as an entry point.By panel data technology to study the top 20 trade export markets,we find out the extent of each factor s impact on China's cultural trade.In terms of supply,we establish a frame model mainly according to the theory of competitive advantage and seek for the internal factors of different level that affect domestic market,using data of creativity cultural merchandise exports and cultural services exports in China from 2002 to 2010.We also predict the competitiveness of our country's cultural trade on the basis of analyzing the influential factor,and make policy recommendations for the further development of China's cultural trade.The research shows that China is conservative in developing world market for culture goods trade and occupies low-end position on culture service trade,which brings Chinese culture little influence in world market.For the respect of factors influencing culture trade,firstly,as expected,culture distance has a negative impact on import and demand of culture creation goods and the impact is quite huge;meanwhile,importing country's GDP and import volume has a positive impact on culture creation goods,whereas geographic distance between countries,language and habit difference have negative impact.Secondly,culture industry output and export volume have the strongest impact while the actual impact brought by culture market scale of China is negative,which seems opposite to theoretical analysis and possibly caused by the inaccuracy of index balancing China culture market scale.Current index,citizens' culture consuming volume can only partially show China's culture market scale.Thirdly,different factors have different extents or even opposite impact between the export of culture creation goods and culture service.Citizens' culture consuming volume,balancing China culture market scale,also has negative impact on culture service export and the impact is larger;while service trade export has a positive impact on culture service trade export and with a unit increase of culture trade,there comes 3.0945 units culture service trade export volumes.Goods trade,however,even has a negative impact on culture service trade and it's same with culture industry output volume.Fourth,our international competitiveness is still weak in current cultural trade,especially in cultural service trade.There's need to make great efforts.There are mainly three innovations in this paper.First is reflected in the influence factors of cultural trade.We emphasize the effect of cultural distance,meanwhile integrate and innovate related theories to find out the impact factors of the supplement of cultural trade on the basis of competition advantages of suppliers,which will provide theoretical basis for the further study and application of our results.Second is that we use panel data analysis,time series of simultaneous equation and grey forecasting method to analysis problems of the development of China's cultural trade.Last is that when we analyze the influence factors,we clarify the range and extent of the factors form the existing literature by using the method of simultaneous equations.
