"The western region"--whether to the west or east-- it means a kind of "imagination" or "reconstruction" what is worth pondering. The western region is wild and mysterious, simple and magnificent, amiable and impact that make a transmutation and overlapping scene of photographic memory in western ethnic culture. In the aesthetic culture vision, evolution research of western movie aesthetic culture and the comprehensive analysis and comparative studies between movie samples and movie culture history try to show the various modes of Chinese western movies aesthetic culture during the past thirty years development in the treacherous time and different stages of history. Thereby, let us return to the historical culture scene, consider the features and elements of discourse construction in western movie theory based on the time chain, show off the theoretical value and cultural meanings of cross-culture study of movie text. As a result, we can find a activity academic field and propose some prospective problems of Chinese western movie development in the future.The research of the subject is focused on the exploration of "micro-level" culture type, with emphasis on experience of splendid and fragmented specific cultural appearance, further, bring out the grand of the subject by the "thick description" of the cultural figurative. In other words, this subject is not only to comb and construct the history of Chinese western movie, but detailed explain the recent thirty years western movie texts, connect the complicated cultural appearance and all the culture phenomenon derived by the film art--such as the movie music, the theme songs, the soundtracks, the ballads, pop music, the clothing, the characters, spatial modeling and the props--will be included in the study of wide view. Following the expansion of the technical rationality, anti-enlightenment religious values began to revive with the associated fetishism of consumption, instrumental rationality became a new favorite of the consumer society.In the commodity-dominating society, the art production was faced with a trend of comprehensive marketing and commercialization. The commodity attribute of culture became increasingly prominent. The movie production as a traditional mass media must be the top most cultural consumption and lead the society consumption and fashion style, and directly promoted the prosperous and spread of consumerism in the whole society. Under the wave of consumption, Chinese movies was confronted with the symbiotic and separation between the art and business, win-win and game between the locate and outside, while Chinese western movie faced more deeply transformation and differentiation. The western movie creation in this period on the aesthetic culture appeared:diversified value orientation, various aesthetical narrative style, different possibility of typed exploration, amplification of the general comedy and business elements, image discourse transmutation under multi-context language environment.In the face of the complex and volatile ecological environment of film making, how does Chinese western film create a great work than can match our time? What can Chinese movies do for our time to tell the stories about that China is going toward the world and the world is coming into China? All above need reevaluate the meanings of Chinese western movie, inherit and insist on the caring of "western spirit" and "realism" all along, integrate the resource of western movie culture, further consolidate the industry chain of western movies, broaden the channel of marketing and distribution, fully use the new media method to take the high ground of culture. In the context of globalization and west development, under the time wave of "One belt, One road", let's restart a narrative power of Chinese movies and culture, and the ability and possibility of the dialogue between Chinese movies and the world movies.
