Previous research on Huang Zongxi in the academic circle, pays close attention to his contributions in the philosophy, politics, history, economics and literature fields, and to his academic history thought as the discipline across the field of philosophy and history is relatively weak. Huang Zongxi's academic history thought representeds the theoretical height of Chinese traditional research on the academic history field, and is "the history of the former" and the internal link of the history of Chinese Philosophy history, so it has important academic significance to study this subject.Huang Zongxi's academic history thought around "Ming Confucianism case",as his theoretical results, produced in the interaction of multiple factors that Huang Zongxi's research after the previous academic history research origin, making particular subject matter as the research object, being in the objective background of a special academic and social environment, making the subjective factors as the intrinsic motivation. It mainly manifests in the three aspects that Huang Zongxi understanding and grasping the rules of academic development in the macroscopic field, Huang Zongxi's guiding principles to research academic history, and Huang Zongxi's summary to Ming Dynasty Confucian school.The main part of this paper around the four aspects of the formation of Huang Zongxi's academic history thought, Huang Zongxi's law of academic development, Huang Zongxi's academic history methodology and Huang Zongxi's thought of Ming Dynasty Confucian school history, analyzes and discusses the cause of formation of Huang Zongxi's academic history thought and essential connotation in the macroscopical, instructional and concrete dimensions, on the base of showing his original appearance of academic history thought, further reflects its positive significance and limitations to provide valuable reference for future research on the history of Chinese philosophy.
