We described and analyzed growth process,development patterns and market characteristics of Thangkha cultural industry of Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai with theoretical framework of transitional social structure and market transformation,on one hand,to present the regional patterns and cultural characteristics of minorities' cultural development;based on the analysis above,we will redefine the common understandings of property rights and market.On the other hand,we tried to illustrate the transitional process of modernization of specific people community under cultural industrial background,and find out relations and verifications of relationship structure between traditional culture and modern culture patterns in Western classic modernization theory.Chapter 1 Introduction explained the research issue,theoretical assumption and research method.Traditional Regong Thangkha and Thangkha artist was described and analyzed in Chapter 2,and the research found that religious origins,family inheriting,and anonymous mobility were the remarkable cultural identification of traditional Regong Thangkha,the mobility of traditional Regong Thangkha artists was a kind of religious practice worshiping by art;that was to say,traditional Regong Thangkha was obviously a concrete identification of local Tibetan culture.Huangnan Thangkha's cultural industry growth process,driving system and its twofold character were introduced in Chapter 3.It is found that Thangkha cultural industry has been rapidly developing since its beginning and take-off stage in 1980s.The emergence of Thangkha cultural industry was a kind of social action,which was not only the result of market transformation of Great Society,but also the result of positive selection from several possibilities.The twofold character of Thangkha means that it incorporated holy article and commodity characters to the same field.In Chapter 4,the development patterns of Huangnan Thangkha cultural industry was discussed.It was clearly that family workshop was main production pattern of Thangkha;relationship selling was basic sales pattern of Thangkha,which took traditional interpersonal relationship and monasteries as medium;and ambiguous property rights in the term of family life tradition and religious authorities was the main structure.The analysis showed that the development of Huangnan Thangkha cultural industry relied on operation of national culture,which turned out that the development of cultural industry will not necessarily weaken national culture,on the contrary,national culture tradition embedded in the development of cultural industry with transformation and reconstruction,and push forward Thangkha cultural industry.It was also found that the embedded property rights structure reflected stable interaction between property rights entity and its social and cultural environment,and possessed natural social and cultural dimensions.Therefore,the concepts power property rights and private property rights of western Property Rights Economics were rethought and examined.Chapter 5 explained the substantive features of Huangnan Thangkha cultural market,which is also as summary of the research on Thangkha cultural industry.The research showed that Huangnan Thangkha's local market was an enlarged market,including economic capital,social capital,cultural capital and symbolic capital.In that market,the exchange of economic capital was subjected to the operation of other capitals,which could convert to and from each other.Then,free market,as foundation of western economics,was rebuilt.Taking Wutun as an instance,Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 described and analyzed development of national community under Thangkha cultural industry.The results were that the development pattern of Huangnan national communities,which took cultural industrialization as power,was endogenous,featuring theoretical characteristics of development of national community one element with multiple routes.Specifically,the practice of national community development did not repel cultural tradition;rather,the development was based on growth process of community under cultural tradition.The growth of economic and revival of tradition were embedded mutually,the building process of community economy brought into abundance of traditional social structure,leading to cultural feedback to economic growth.Based on the research,we verified and rethought classic modernization theory.
