This thesis centers on Ouyang Xiu's "Six-one Fengshen" which represents his prose artistic style, intended to supplement the researches concerned already done previously. There is still space for further exploration although Ou's "Six-one Fengshen" has received much recognition in the academic world. The author thinks that the aesthetics category of "Fengshe" formed under the influence of the traditional "spirit", and "character" and "verve". It is vividly manifested in Ou's writing such as his preface, his narration, his biography and so on. Its connotation includes mixed emotional feelings. Throughout his life, his "Six-one Fengshen" experienced four stages, like from the implicit to the explicit, from fuzzy to clear, and from secondary to dominated. It has a thick and rich emotional connotation, including sigh for life, promotion of friendship, real-life worry and reflection on history. "Six-one Fengshen" is closely related to Ou's narrative art characteristics, and it belongs to feminine beauty in terms of its aesthetic type. On the literary origins, it takes root in "Shimaqian's fengshen". It was formed under the influence of both reality and individual life. It occupies the dominant position in Ou's writing style and has a big impact on the proses in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It should occupy a certain position in the history of Chinese prose.
