The Study Of Ouyang Xiu's Parallel Prose

Ouyang Xiu,as an outstanding writer in Song Dynasty,is not only proficient in poetry,word and prose,but also good at parallel prose.His parallel prose,rich in style,diverse in content,distinct in theme and unique in technique,has always been highly praised.In addition,Ouyang Xiu actively advocated the ancient prose movement of the Northern Song Dynasty and tried to overcome the disadvantages of the parallel prose,which affected many parallel prose writers after that and established their position in the history of the Northern Song Dynasty and even the whole parallel prose.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,there are three chapters.The introduction part mainly explain the object of study,the current research situation,the significance of the research and the research methods.The first chapter mainly discusses Ouyang Xiu's official experience and the general situation of parallel prose creation.This part divides Ouyang Xiu's life officialdom into three periods:the pre-officialdom period,the mid-officialdom period and the post-officialdom period,focusing on clarifying the general situation and creative characteristics of Ouyang Xiu's parallel prose in different periods.Based on Ouyang Xiu Ji Annual Notes and Zeng Zaozhuang's Full Song Wen,this paper makes statistics on Ouyang Xiu's parallel prose creationin different periods.According to statistics,we can see that,in the early stage of Ouyang Xiu's official career,the parallel prose creation was single,and the book was mainly enlightened;in the middle stage of official career,the parallel prose creation was rich and prominent;in the late stage of official career,the parallel prose creation was sparse and the performance was more.At the same time,with the continuous development of Ouyang Xiu's official career,the prose tendency of his parallel prose creation is becoming more and more obvious.The second chapter,from the whole point of view,is divided into three sections to study Ouyang Xiu's characteristics of parallel prose.Each section of the paper is based on the text,with different types of parallel prose as the main theme and the main use of techniques to design the layout: the first section mainly studies the theme of the book and the precise method of allusions;the second section mainly studies the theme of the imperial edict and appropriate narrative techniques of controlling emotion of monarch;the third section mainly studies the theme and flexible sentences of rhetoric resignation officers.The third chapter discusses the new changes and historical status of Ouyang Xiu's parallel prose based on the first two chapters.Ouyang Xiu's new change of parallel prose includes not only his innovative thought of breaking style into style,but also his practical innovation and influence on parallel prose.A detailed and deep study of these two aspects will help us to gradually clarifyOuyang Xiu's historical position as a link between the past and the future in the Northern Song Dynasty and the whole parallel prose history.The conclusion discusses the main contents,research value and shortcomings of this paper.
