From The Perspective Of Cultural Consciousness In The Inheritance And Development Of Minnan Zheng Cultural

South Fujian Zheng culture as a non-material cultural heritage, is one of the nine major schools of Chinese Zheng culture. It has developed and formed its own style and charm through history. However, several interruptions hindered the inheritance of South Fujian Zheng culture, and even caused its depression in the early modern period. Few studies conducted on South Fujian Zheng culture exist. Because of this, the author has interviewed successors and members from well-known South Fujian Zheng families and schools. This helped the author to obtain many valuable first-hand research materials.1. This article portrays cultural consciousness served as a driving force to form the South Fujian Zheng culture. It is this driving force that combined the Zheng culture of central China and the local culture of Southern Min to form the unique style of Southern Fujian Zheng culture. At the same time, South Fujian culture is usually passed down through family tradition. The dynamic interaction between government, society, associations, and schools is essential to passing down the traditions of intangible cultural heritage. However, it is more crucial to mobilize and upgrade the cultural consciousness of the inheritors and the society.2. This article gives a comprehensive introduction of the South Fujian Zheng culture. It explains the formation of the South Fujian Zheng culture, and the historical circumstances that affected its development. This article helps academics gain a better understanding of the South Fujian Zheng culture, and provides a theoretical support for academic research and cultural inheritance.3. Systematically introduce the South Fujian Zheng culture techniques and hymns. The author has visited the seven South Fujian Zheng families, and studied the techniques of the seven families through field observations. Finally, the interviews and observations gives a clear understanding of the development and inheritance process of the Southern Fujian Zheng culture with the seven families as its core.4. Analyze the existing music scores in order to understand the composer's original intentions. This knowledge in turn provides a more in-depth understanding on how the alternations of farming culture and marine culture in Southern Fujian influenced the historical and folk traditions that formed the Southern Fujian Zheng culture.5. The author also provides advises and solutions to address the problem of artist scarcity for Southern Fujian Zheng, and better protect, develop, and pass down the Southern Fujian Zheng culture. More specifically, on how to continue exploit cultural awareness as a tool to develop the Southern Fujian Zheng so it can become a confident and self-reliant school. Only cultural confidence and self-reliance can help the Southern Fujian Zheng School become a unique blooming art.6. Main achievements and innovation:First, Part one discusses how cultural awareness drives the formation of the South Fujian Zheng culture, and how this awareness is formed from the combination of South Fujian's natural geographical environment, historical migration patterns, and the social and cultural circumstances. More importantly, how the formation of Southern Fujian culture influenced the creation of cultural consciousness of the local residents. This paper especially focuses on how the seven families contribute to the formation of cultural consciousness which is the key to the creation and passing down of the Southern Fujian Zheng culture.secondly, proposes that cultural consciousness is the key for Southern Fujian Zheng cultural heritage protection. There are six factors that are essential for the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage:essential government guidance; 2 cultural propaganda as the core; 3 family descendants as the backbone; 4 folk culture fusion to prolong the culture; 5 supporting academic research; 6 Spreading of the culture through diverse media. However, cultural consciousness is the key for the inheritance and protection of Southern Fujian Zheng culture. The inheritor and members of society must have the spontaneous cultural needs and hobbies-autonomous learning behavior conscious pursuit of artistic and cultural heritage- confident nation regional culture identity in order to improve the level of consciousness, and to sustain a permanent protection of the intangible cultural heritage (South Fujian Zheng culture).The South Fujian Zheng culture is a part of the non-material cultural heritage. The purpose of research in South Fujian Zheng culture is to help more professional and nonprofessional people understand the culture of today, and to provide protection of the inheritance and its development, and its future innovation.
