Research On Usage Of Mongolian Language In Ulaanhad City

Our country is a multi-ethnic,multilingual and multicultural nation.And the languages in our country vary in complex characteristics.To carry out a wide range of detailed national survey in language is an important task of language work in the new period of modernization.The national survey in language is the basis for making language policies and other related decisions.The policies and guidelines on language must be made according to scientific understanding of the national survey in language.It is important and urgent to start a national survey in language to adapt to the rapid change of the ethnic language conditions in the new era.Investigating the usage of ethnic language will provide an important basis for making ethnic language policies.This article demonstrates the current usage of Mongolian language in Ulaanhad City with detailed and accurate data based on the investigation of the usage of Mongolian language in Ulaanhad City by applying research methods of sociolinguistics.By statistical analysis,the writer finds out the problems and puts forward her own views and suggestions to contribute to the making of Mongolian language policies,ethnic educational policies and scientific language planning.And the writer aims to provide detailed reference data for protecting,developing and spreading Mongolian language,and to make a little contribution to the applied research of Mongolian language.This paper consists of three parts including introduction,main body and conclusion.In the first part,the writer briefly states the reason,purpose and significance of choosing this topic and the research methods and data sources.The writer also explains the research situation,investigation procedures and research content in the introduction part.There are five chapters in the main part.The basic introduction of downtown,rural and pastoral areas and the respondents are shown in the first three chapters.The writer combines social factors as age,educational level,occupation and spouse's ethnic composition to analyze the usage of Mongolian language in the areas by highlighting the characteristics and explaining the reason.The fourth chapter is about the comparative analysis of the usage of Mongolian language in downtown,rural and pastoral areas to show the differences in language use.The fifth chapter summarizes the problems and it's forming causes in the current usage of Mongolian language in Ulaanhad City to express her personal views and suggestions.In the last part,the writer summarizes her research and presents the main findings,shortcomings and the further research intentions.
