The history of Chinese fine arts of the 20 th century is a history of criticism and inheritance of the excellent national traditional culture as well as the reference and absorption of western art history.The development of Chinese painting is moving forward from being inherited the good national tradition and learning and absorbing western art essence.Therefore,it is a gradual process for Chinese water-based material painting to shift from the traditional form to modern form.In this process,there is the essence of ethnic culture of Chinese artists,but is also full of the reference and absorption of western water-based materials.The author combed and analyzed the art form of the contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting,combining with the author's years of practice in water-based materials,trying to make some contributes to the study of the form of contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting.The paper is divided into the following several parts:The first part is introduction,mainly introduces the problems and challenges faced by contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting,study significance and value,the related literature combing and the innovation point.The contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting has its own limitations,such as pigment unicity,base selection bondage,stylized reflection techniques,and so on.Because of these limitations,it is urgently needed to be innovated of the form of Chinese water-based materials painting.Art development is multi-cultural connected and innovative.Therefore,the contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting not only needs to inherit the development of Chinese traditional culture essence,at the same time,needs more positive aspects of western culture,so as to promote the rapid development of Chinese contemporary water-based materials painting.The second part is impact analysis of the western water-based materials artistic practice on Chinese water-based materials painting.Western water-based materials painting has its own uniqueness,such as the conceptive,affective and implicated color language,motility and direction of the linear language,photochromic harmonious and light flashing in photochromic,what are Chinese water-based material painting lack of.Therefore,the western water-based material art brings new change to Chinese water-based materials painting and promote the modern transformation of Chinese painting.In the third part,the author deeply analyzed the inner life of Chinese water-based materials painting.The Chinese water-based materials painting has a unity spiritual shackle of human and nature,in harmony with the empty spirit of Buddhism and Zen and has the pursuit of ethical and moral.In specific work,these characteristics presented the beauty of rhythmic vitality,heart beating and a fusion of feelings with natural setting and also further expressed a subjective beauty of colorful artistic conception,a harmonious beauty of affection and a modelling beauty of god depicting.These ethnic characteristics are not only the vitality of contemporary Chinese water material painting,but also the driving force for the world to realize the innovation.The Fourth part is about the art practice of contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting.Chinese water-based material painting has its own characteristics in the aspects of carrier,theme,color,technique,artistic conception,etc.In Chinese context,Chinese water-based materials painting embodies the fusion of transparency and in transparency,the combination of strong and weak,rich texture and the innovative,abstract concept absorption of water-based materials and the inheritance of the concept of "freehand brushwork".These characteristics make up the acceptance of Chinese water-based materials painting in Chinese context.The fifth part is about the paradigm of Chinese water-based material painting,mainly analyzed the materials selection and styles performance of Lin Fengmian,Wu Guanzhong,Wang Zhao-min.Lin Fengmian is a typical representative of organic integration of eastern and western painting factors.He broke the later pen-and-ink system with lines,and unified the strong color and gorgeous visual image by using watercolor,ink painting and gouache;Wu Guanzhong put formalism of western painting into Chinese wash painting,combining the Wire surface composition of wash painting with block surface composition of western water-based materials painting,so as to reflect the visual tension and the richness of color;Wang Zhao-min has a unique understanding of the change of light and shadow and the body.His works present a technique of traditional Chinese painting,color of oil painting,the basis of the sketch and the realm of poetry.The sixth part is about application and thinking of contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting.In composition of the Chinese water-based materials painting,the painter should consider the relationship between primary and secondary,the image between accumulation and dispersion of the actual situation,and color matching issues,also needs to consider the culture idea and the penetration of cultural signs.In decoration and application,the work should reflect the black and white decoration,heavy variety and ink painting decoration.Thus it can be seen that the contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting has characteristics of pluralistic integration and innovation,nationality and innovation,the connotation of the humanistic and artistic innovation.The seventh part is conclusion.This paper emphasizes that the artistic charm lies in the mutual integration of individual characters and different cultures.To understand contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting,we must be placed in the era background of the development of contemporary society and be placed in the integration of different cultures.Different cultures bring different concepts and different spirits.That means the Chinese water-based materials painting artists should be brave on the journey of art practice,and constantly exploring,to enrich and develop the contemporary Chinese water-based materials painting in nationality maintaining and culture blending.
