A Classification Study Of The Ladies' Paintings In The Tang Dynasty

This thesis select Zhang Xuan and Zhou Fang as the representative painters of the Tang Dynasty,take artists' works as examples to analysis the age factors of Tang Feng,deeply study the relationship among artists,art creations and figure painting techniques,art theoryies,society and the trend of the times.And to explore the forms and technique characteristics of figure painting in the Tang Dynasty by scroll paintings,tomb paintings,murals and other different types of figure painting.In this thesis,the skills and theory of figure paintings have formed a peak period in the development of the figure painting in the Tang Dynasty.The figure painting in Tang Dynasty has the same strain with the "vivid portrayal”which was proposed by Gu Kaizhi et al in Wei and Jin Dynasties north and South Dynasty,and vividly reflects the application of the Six Theories of Xie He.Figure painting in the Tang Dynasty,which embodies the powerful,strong and moderate Tang trend;it is worth arousing a further learning and thinking in the theoretical creation and the practice of Chinese painting.
