Between "Capitalism" And "Non-Capitalism"

In a contemporary critique of historical materialism: power,property and state,it was comprehensive of Giddens critique of Marx's historical materialism.This book focused on the many difficulties in theory and placed them on the desk.The critique exerts a strong influence in the western academia and spread to the domestic field of Marxism studies in recent years.This thesis is response to Giddens' critical perspectives.The core idea of Giddens is: compared with the previous social,there is no continuity and unity of the historical materialism theory of social forms in capitalist society with fracture obviously.Giddens argues that principle runs through it all at multiple levels,multiple angle,such as(1)In his opinion,only capitalism is the class society,and this society or "tribal society",or at best is a kind of "social class".(2)Giddens believes that the capitalist society achieve the "time" and "space" and "commercialization",which shows the essential difference between it and various social and fracture earlier.(3)In the view of Giddens,there is the difference between the capitalist exploitation and all kinds of earlier social exploitation in the qualitative.Only in capitalist society,class relations and economic exploitation intrude into production process and constitute the basic characteristics of the production process.(4)To be "power","control","structure","integration" and other social concept as the cornerstone,Giddens comprehensive explained the famous "Structuration Theory",and on this basis,criticized the materialist conception of history of the "function-structure" explanation on the level of the method,also refuted the evolution of interpretation theory.In his opinion,this is the methodology of fundamental flaws of the theory of historical materialism.This paper is based on the core text of Marx,especially based on the capital and the manuscript of this mature text group as thought development peak of Marx,and expands the analysis of some important concepts and the basic principle around the historical materialism to spearhead Giddens' s.(1)This paper believes that as long as there is private ownership of the means of production,the relations of production will inevitably produce class relations and the formation of class society.The form also will inevitably be different,but the essence is the same.(2)To believe "time" can be used as a measure of the value of goods scale,but itself cannot be an independent existence of goods leave,because certain matter,time will be emptied,become a kind of unreal things.In short,"time" cannot leave the "commodity" on its own,become another "commodity ".(3)It does not exist the class exploitation away from the production process,any exploitation are against the production relations as the foundation,which are embedded in the process of production.Because the production relationship is formed and existed in the material production process and different from this kind of " technology " of the division of labor and cooperation and is the "power relations" among people.(4)From a methodological point of view,the above interpretation shows that between the "capitalist society" and "non-capitalist society",has both "discontinuity" and "continuity" side,is the dialectical unity of discontinuity and continuity,and the continuity and non-continuity.Giddens used the history of "discontinuity" to reject and deny the "continuity",thus deny the historical development of the theory of evolution and interpretation of "function structure".This is obviously biased.
