Since Buddhism was introduced into China,it has had a profound influence on China's ideological?cultural,political,economic and other fields.The study of Buddhism in China has always been the focus of academic attention,and it is necessary to study this issue comprehensively and accurately,which is an important foundation to study the localization of Buddhism in different regions.As early as the Eastern Han Dynasty,the the Yangtze river Basin of Anhui Province was contaminated with Buddhism.Because of its special geographical location,the development of Buddhism in this region has strong characteristics,not only has a long history,but also has a profound impact on Chinese Buddhism.Wan Mountain area is an important area of Chinese Buddhism in the early stage of Chinese Buddhism.Here,the Bodhi Damo from ancient Wan merged with the Mahayana method,making it the origin of Chinese Zen Buddhism.Jiuhua Mountain area is a typical representative of the high secularization of Chinese Buddhism.Buddhism is one of the four famous Buddhist Mountains in China because of its fusion with the people's hopes and spiritual beliefs.The river basin in Anhui should be one of the specimen regions to study the localization of Buddhism.The purpose of this paper is to study the geographical distribution,changes and causes of the main factors of Buddhism in the river basin of Anhui during the historical period,and try to divide the Buddhist cultural areas of the river basin of Anhui in different periods,and summarize the evolution law preliminarily.Buddhist monasteries of great scale,highly accomplished monks,far-reaching Buddhist dharma and devout fanaticism are the core parts of Buddhist heritage and Buddhist culture.Based on this understanding,this paper,according to the local chronicles of the Anhui River Basin,selects four factors:monasteries,monks,Buddhist scholars,scholars and Tanyue,to analyze the development of Buddhism in the Yangtze river Basin of Anhui Province in the historical period.Chapter 1from the angle of monastery,this paper makes a panoramic investigation on the distribution and vicissitude of monasteries from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Southern and Northern dynasties,the Sui,Tang and the five dynasties,the two Song dynasties and the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties through the collation of the basic data,analyzes the distribution law and characteristics of the temple,and analyzes the important events and policies affecting the distribution of the Buddhist temple appropriately.Chapter 2 then choose monks to analyze,through analyzing the origin of monks from the the Yangtze river Basin of Anhui Province to straighten out the main sources of Buddhism in different periods;By analyzing the native monks' place of origin and growing place in the river basin of Anhui,this paper analyzes the development situation of Buddhism in each region and the influence of monks on the development of Buddhism in other areas.Chapter 3 choose indexes that less used in the academic circles of lay Buddhist and Tan Yue,the analysis of the historical data clearly recorded in the different space of the activities of the vulgar believers to analyze the extent of folk Buddhism,we can better understand the vicissitudes of Buddhism secularization.Chapter 4 is based on the statistics of the distribution of Buddhist works related to the Anhui River Basin,this paper probes into the geographical distribution and the development degree of the Buddhist learning in the Anhui River Basin.Through the analysis of the spread of Buddhist classics in different time and space,clarifies the spread of Buddhist righteousness,development and the spread of Buddhism in the river basin of Anhui Province.Chapter 5 is a summary of the full text,On the basis of the above four chapters,we divide the Buddhist culture areas of Wanjiang River valley in different periods and outline their main features.At the same time,it focus on the focus of Buddhist culture-the specific development of the areas of Wanshan and Jiuhua Mountain.Finally,it comprehensively analyzes the influence of the natural geography and the historical factors such as population,transportation,politics,religion on the distribution and change of various elements of Buddhism.
