It combined economic construction with "five-in-one" comprehensive development, combined the Four Cardinal Principles with the reform and opening-up policy, and combined the productivity development and common prosperity. Thus, it is the representation and reflection in the practice of the theory and system which are the most consistent with China's development, it is the concise experience of developing from a backward agricultural country to an advanced industrial country, and it is "the only way to realize our country's socialist modernization and the only way to create a better life for our people." To study it can help us more deeply grasp the connotation and essence of the road, constantly enhance the confidence, and further aggregate consensus so as to provide the necessary theoretical support for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.On the base of the position, viewpoint and method of Marxism and with the application of different research methods, such as literature method, discrimination method, this dissertation details the founding and developing process of the socialist road with Chinese characteristics, summarizes its basic characteristics, analyzes and studies the significance of the road's basic characteristics, and summarizes and concludes the experience and methods of firmly grasping the basic characteristics.Besides the preface and the conclusion, the main part of this dissertation is composed of five chapters, whose main contents are summarized as follows:In the introduction, this dissertation mainly introduces the background, the significance, the research status at home and abroad, research ideas, research methods and innovations.The first chapter discusses the historical logic of the socialist road with Chinese characteristics. In modern times, numerous people with lofty ideals rose from the imperialist ingression, and sought the road to independence, prosperity and democracy. History and people finally chose New-democratic Revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
