Researchon Talent Cultivation Of Institute Of Military Engineering (PLA) From The Perspective Of Ideological And Political Education

Institute of Military Engineering(PLA)was the first high-level comprehensive military engineering and technical institute,also a monument in the history of Chinese national defense science and technology and higher education.The Institute which serving the mission of modernization national defense,followed with the development trend of national defense and technology,set up advanced professional and developed advanced technology,and realized the great-leap-forward development from cultivating maintenance and use talents to research and design talents.The Institute found a way with its own style,got significant achievements in talent cultivation,science research and college development,and left invaluable asset for future generations.It is beneficial to the research and practice of higher education to do a special study on the history of talent cultivation of Institute of Military Engineering from the perspective of political and ideological education.Respecting to the spirit of Chairman Mao's Instructions,the Party Committee of the Institute with Chen Geng as the core,led the institute to carry out the practice of education,and gradually formed complete thoughts and policies of operation and management of the institute with politics first,respecting teachers and teaching,maintaining characteristics,carrying out forward tradition as its core ideas.Under the care of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Military Commission,Institute of Military Engineering got relatively adequate guarantee of conditions on talent cultivation with support and cooperation.Among them,a large number of domestic professors,experts,cadres,as well as a large Soviet consultant group gathering,made the Institute endowed a talent advantage.While,during the construction of qualified personnel,the Institute made strict demands of political and ideological conditions on both subject and object of talent cultivation.Institute of Military Engineering carried out teaching activities in accordance with the teaching plan,and required the cadets to develop in an all-round way on ideology,intellectual,military and physical.Its all kinds of courses were formal and strict,the political ideology was implemented in each course teaching,and the the teaching content system which based on the framework for ideology,intelligence,military and physical,formed an organic whole.In the practice of talent cultivation,the Institute resumed sound system and strictly managedteaching process to educate the cadets.Meanwhile,it carried out extensive,in-depth,diverse cadet political and ideological work around teaching to insure the quality of talent cultivation.The Institute has constructed educational mechanism as work-integrated learning,innovation in practice,institute-army-plant cooperated,and has formed educational feature as all-people education,whole-process education,and all-round education.In the practice of talent cultivation,Institute of Military Engineering has shown its distinctive features and accumulated fine tradition.The practice of talent cultivation of the Institute enlights today's universities and colleges that they must spare no effort to strengthen and improve the leadership of the Party,ensure the quality of talent cultivation through reform and grasp the core mission of high moral values establishment and people cultivation.
