The study aims to understand the current situation of the character education efficacy of the university students majoring in early childhood educations.Furthermore,the study conduct the comparative study between personal teacher efficacy and general teacher efficacy.Questionnaire survey is used in this study.The targets are the university students majoring in Early Childhood Education in Taiwan.1179 college students are collected through convenience and cluster sampling.The valid questionnaire are 1164 copies(1321 test were sent in total,the valid recovery rate is 89.25%).The statistical analysis used in this study are mean,standard deviation,T-test,one-way anova,Scheffe's post hoc method to verify the hypothesis.The conclusions are as follow:1.The awareness levels of the character education efficacy of the students majoring in early childhood education are upper-middle level.2.The awareness level of the personal teacher efficacy and general teacher effcacy of the students majoring in early childhood education is upper-middle level.3.In college students' different background variables,there are significant difference in the means of department and hometown,while there are no significant difference in the means of grade,gender and having siblings or not.4.From the questions of college students' perception and experience,there are significant differences in the different questions of character education efficacy belief instrument means,which are "whether you are interested in early childhood education," "whether you will devote in early childhood education career related,""whether character education is important for teacher specializing in early childhood education," "whether you yourself possess enough character literacy,""whether you have participated in character education related class before."5.There are positive correlation between personal teacher efficacy&general teacher efficacy and the character education efficacy belief instrument perception of the college studentsFinally,the study will provide a concrete suggestion for the early childhood practitioners and reference for future study direction based on the above research conclusion.
