| Attention has been paid to the psychological contract by researchers since the middle to late 20th century.The research on the psychological contract between school organizations and teachers has gradually attracted the attention of education researchers in the field of education.The psychological contract involves the expectations between the organization(the school)and the teacher,and refers to the unwritten a set of commitments that both parties should make efforts and the rewards they deserve.It is also worth studying teacher’s belief and teacher’s role beliefs.Teacher’s belief is the cognition and viewpoint that teachers believe in and put into practice all the relevant factors related to their professional identity in the teaching situation and professional process.Teacher’s role beliefs are unique professional beliefs that based on the knowledge of teachers’ life value and their professional value,combined with their own practice and experience.Teacher’s self-efficacy refers to the judgment and confidence of teachers that they should have in their educational professional work.Teacher’s job satisfaction refers to the sum of teachers’ feelings and cognition based on individual emotions about their profession,professional conditions,conditions and environment.The study takes 280 primary and middle school teachers in Chongqing as the research object.On the basis of the previous literature and the current educational environment,the study attempts to find the relationship between psychological contract,teacher’s role belief,self-efficacy and teachers’ job satisfaction in order to provide a reference to improve teachers’ professional development,enhance teacher’s professional role recognition,avoid or interfere with teacher’s job burnout,and improve teacher job satisfaction.From this research,the following conclusions can be obtained.There are significant differences in the psychological contract,teacher role belief,teacher self-efficacy,and teachers’ job satisfaction of primary and secondary school teachers on certain demographic variables.Specifically,the external satisfaction scores of single teachers are much higher than those of married teachers.In terms of teacher’s role beliefs,the scores of the social role beliefs,school role beliefs,classroom teaching role beliefs,and teacher’s role beliefs of private middle school teachers are apparently higher than those of public elementary school teachers,public middle school teachers and private elementary school teachers.There is a significant correlation between the psychological contract of primary and middle school teachers and the teacher’s role belief,teacher self-efficacy,and teacher job satisfaction.To be specific,there is a remarkable correlation between primary and middle school teacher’s psychological contracts,teacher role beliefs,teacher self-efficacy,teacher job satisfaction and their various dimensions,and they are positively correlated.The teacher’s role belief and teacher self-efficacy of primary and middle school teachers are the mediating variables between psychological contract and teacher job satisfaction. |
