Study On The Construction Of Youth Culture In Contemporary Universities

Youth culture is a kind of subculture phenomenon which exists and is generally accepted by the youth group.The youth culture is formed in the interaction between the youth and the society,which reflects the special psychology,the role and the spiritual needs of the young people.It is the summation of the youth value system,behavior norm and life style.Youth culture in colleges is an important part of youth culture,focusing on the performance of young college students' concept of value,behavior mode and living conditions,which is the cultural representation of the special role and age group of young college students.College youth culture represents the young college students' interests,wishes and voices,ideological ideals and beliefs,the pursuit of life in the changes of times and society,showing vigor,vision,energy in their physical and mental development in the special period.College youth culture is a part of social mainstream culture.However,as subculture,there is a certain degree of alienation and conflict between the youth culture and the mainstream culture.Contemporary college youth culture in China,originated in the May fourth movement,flourishing in reform and opening with building socialism in an all-round way,is the dual logic of globalization and China's social transformation and the inevitable result of the physiological and psychological effects of the youth.The institutional logic of transition from planned economic system to market economic system,the logic of the transformation from industrial technology to information technology and the spatial logic of the transition from a closed national space to an open international space has constituted the logical premise of the construction of college youth culture in China.Marx's theory,the ideological and political theory of Chinese communism and western cultural theory has made up the theoretical basis of youth culture construction and are the fundamental values to promote and guide the scientific development and the comprehensive building of college youth culture system.Since the founding of new China,guiding the development of youth culture with Marx's advanced culture,the party and the state has strengthened and improved the construction of youth culture by paying attention to the organic combination of ideological and political education and youth culture construction,emphasizing the role of advanced culture in the construction of college youth culture with an attachment to the importance of the exemplary models,relying on the Communist Youth League organizations to implement cultural integration and guidance,deepening the recognition of the theory and practice of the young college students to the party and the socialist countries and meeting the needs of the young college students' spiritual and cultural life,all of which in turn contribute to promote the comprehensive development of young college students.In short,the construction of youth culture of contemporary colleges has made great achievements.But due to the lack of subjective attention,the long-term accumulation of institutional mechanisms and the challenges aroused by the development of information network technology,the construction of youth culture in colleges and universities has shown a deviation to the status of material culture construction,with the spiritual connotation of college youth spiritual culture construction missing.The current problems have restricted the further development of youth culture construction in colleges and universities.A recognition has been achieved that the college youth cultural activity taste and the construction of the network college youth culture needs to be further explored.With arrival of new era characterized by economic globalization,political multi-polarization,cultural diversity and information networking as well as structural reform and institutional adjustment of Chinese universities,the youth culture construction in colleges and universities is facing both the rare opportunity and the severe challenge.On the one hand,we should follow the guidance of Marx's theory and adhere to the correct political orientation to meet the cultural needs of young college students,with the combination of inheritance and innovation,national and cosmopolitan,the elegant and the popular,to promote the comprehensive development of young college students and advance the coordination and sustainable development between young college students and society.On the other hand,we should establish innovation consciousness,taking the innitiative of innovation,integrate the concept of full participation,internationalization,marketization and fine culture into the construction of college youth culture,make youth culture armed with a lofty vision and based on path innovation and through the provision of high-quality cultural services,innovation andcultural construction of youth carriers,use the social means of operation to meet the diverse needs of young college students.Focus on system innovation,we should innovate college students' ideological and cultural education system,learning culture-oriented system,life culture cultivation system,volunteer service culture cultivation system,leisure culture shaping system,science and technology innovation ability cultivation system,perfect the youth culture construction team pattern,cultivate the innovative gene of young college students from the internal structure and improve the actual effect of youth culture construction.
