Interpretation Of The Youth Sub-culture Character About The Internet KUSO Phenomenon

The Internet KUSO has been a trend during the past few years. With a great deal of KUSO works issused in the Internet, its social influence extends increasingly and the KUSO storm has already become a remarkable cultural event.Entertainment and comedy are the purpose of the Internet KUSO. By using parody, collage and other means to subvert the classic, deconstruct the authority, digest the center, publicize the personality, irony the society, the Internet KUSO has the typical characteristics of the sub-culture. Because of its producers, disseminators and the audience are a youth group which born in the late 70's and 80's, we can define the Internet KUSO culture as a "youth sub-culture." The Internet KUSO culture on behalf of the marginalized position, no right to speak of the interests of grass-roots groups, they are not satisfied with the elite and the media have led hegemony of the status quo, in order to compete for the right to speak, grass-roots group through the KUSO works to subvert and resist the elite hegemony and the dominant culture, expand the discourse space, solve some of the social contradictions which have not yet resolved in the imagination with great social influence. However, as the characterization of the youth group's passion uprising in the Internet Age, the Internet KUSO only represents a carnival of the ceremony, it may disappear into the dominant ideology of the discipline, may also be submerged in the business of incorporation, all of this removes the subversion of its original meaning and significance of resistance. Although the KUSO sub-culture is difficult to escape the fate of discipline and incorporation, I think its not going to disappear in the short term, it will continue to exist, they will comply with the principle of "political risk minimization, maximization of economic benefits" to keep on producing the KUSO works, realize the dual admission of cultural effectiveness and economic utility.The Internet KUSO phenomenon is mainly interpreted from the perspective of youth sub-culture in this paper, the paper is organzied as:Chapter 1 , the summary on KUSO phenomenon is given and ascends to the origin of the word; following that, I define the contemporary KUSO phenomenon in terms of academy and seeks for the source of KUSO culture from historical perspective; finally, the distinguish of the KUSO is put forward. Chapter II, The origin of KUSO culture is analysed by the following three aspects: network technology and the environment, social and psychological causes, cultural background.Chapter III , The Internet KUSO phenomenon is interpreted from the perspective of youth sub-culture. First the KUSO culture is defined as a youth sub-culture, and then through the youth sub-culture theory of Birmingham School to interpret the Internet KUSO phenomenon. The Internet KUSO is interpreted from three aspects: the resistance, the style of the ceremony and the fate of incorporation .Finally, The summary of this paper is given. By analysing the fate and development trends of the Internet KUSO, the conclusion can be made that the Internet KUSO will not disappear in the short term and it will continue to exist with the principle of "politics minimized and benefit maximized".
