Models Of Eco-agriculture And Industrialization In Northwestern

Creative study has been done on the theoretical system of eco-agriculture construction in Northwestern China, which is of high theoretical value on regional eco-agriculture construction, especially in Northwestern China. To form a practical eco-agriculture model, it should be built on the basis of well understanding of natural, social conditions. In this research, the methodologies of statistics and cluster analysis were adopted and case studies were taken in northwestern China, to further discuss the way to build eco-agriculture model and promote to practice. Therefore, we can summary the characteristics and roles of county-level eco-agriculture model, and provide practical methods for developing agriculture in northwestern China. Then, the model for industrialization of eco-agriculture was built on the basis of eco-agriculture model of northwestern China. Taken the industrialization of eco-agriculture model in Shaanxi Province as an example, this study has performed deep analysis on the know-how of put these models into practice. Focused on the creative development of eco-agriculture development, this study was performed through statistical resource analysis, classical case investigation, wide range of investigation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, case study and literature reviews. The main results of this study were as follows:1) Setting up of theoretical system of eco-agriculture in northwestern China. With the aim of pursuing the common interests of ecological, economic and social aspects, the eco-agriculture in northwestern China is impacted by the development of the global alternative types of agriculture, under the direction of ecology, agronomy, economics, resources and environment studies. It is characterized by comprehensive, coordinate, recycling, sustainable and regional characteristic.2) Based on the theory of regional eco-agriculture, this study summarized 9 main types of eco-agriculture models. The regional difference, due to the differences in latitude, longitude, vertical zonality, rural social-economic basis, has obvious impact on the agriculture production, marketing and development. In order to make regional eco-agriculture model, the development of eco-agriculture should respect the regional differences, natural resources conditions and economic and social characteristics, and pursuing win-win situation of environmental protection and industrial development.3) Enlightenment of abroad eco-agriculture development on the eco-agriculture in northeastern China. Since the natural conditions in northwestern China are similar as in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia etc, their experiences in eco-agriculture are of great significance for eco-agriculture in northwestern China. Although the theory of eco-agriculture from abroad is not mature, and scales are not large, it has great importance and stands for the direction of eco-agriculture development. However, the eco-agriculture in western China can not just merely copy the model from abroad, since environment in this region is more complicated under the restriction of desertification, and problems of food security, poverty and fragile environment.4) Northwestern China is divided into two parts, namely inland eco-agriculture region and loess plateau(excluding the parts in Shanxi and Henan provinces). For regions of loess plateau, water-collecting eco-agriculture is of bright future. For regions of inland eco-agriculture, the suitable types of eco-agriculture can be divided based on topographical features. The three-dimension development and utilization model is suitable for regions located at high mountain area, piedmont slope and plain terrain. While regions in basin areas are more suitable for developing food-chain typed or large scale production eco-agriculture.5) In this study, the study on model of county-level eco-agriculture development was performed, therefore to find clues for regional eco-agriculture development. More specifically, several typical counties were selected by statistical method, and six categories of eco-agriculture construction were grouped by the method of clustering analysis.6) It is the inevitable choice for the development of eco-agriculture in northwestern China to construct the dominant industries. Rich in species resources and climate resources, eco-agriculture development in northwestern China should focused on dominant resources, such as cotton, sugar crop, tobacco, fruit, meat, milk, flowers, traditional Chinese medicinal materials, etc, promotion the development of featured agriculture and processing industry of the agricultural by-products.7) To promote the industrialization of eco-agriculture development, this study pursued the development model for industrializing of eco-agriculture development in northwest China. Taken the model of other regional eco-agriculture model as blueprint, this study can effectively design the model of eco-agriculture industrialization model.8) This study has provided the counter measures and policy guarantee system for eco-agriculture development in northwestern China. Since it is a comprehensive systematic engineering, it is necessary to develop multiple pathways of ecological ideology, ecological regime, ecological technology, ecological production, etc, to promote the development of eco-agriculture in northwestern China.
