Tourism Performing Arts(shorten for "TPA") gradually evolves to new operational type, new direction and new form of tourism, bonding deeply with the tourism development, regional culture and the demand of tourism market, which grows from the reception performance in the early diplomatic activation and decorated performing. Real-life Scenery Performing Arts "Impression·Liu Sanjie", an innovative and new type of TPA in 2003, caused a huge storm in China after it was presented. It changes the pace and business domain of TPA, and becomes the important turn of value transition, making TPA convert from the supporting character to the leading role. "The Instruction about Promoting the Conjoining Development of Culture and Tourism", issued by MCPRC and CNTA in 2009, opens a new chapter strengthening the combination of culture industries and tourism industries on a national level. And the 35 "List of Key Projects of National Cultural Tourism—Tourism Performance Categories", issued in 2010, is a new encourage for many TPA items.By the end of October 2015, 390 TPA items, collected in this study, are distributed in the 134 prefecture-level and above administrative units of 31 provincial level administrative ones, including 4 municipalities directly under the central government and some special administrative ones. According to the special contribution that TPA brings to tourism, many sightseeing districts and TPA companies are ready to or are producing new TPA items. But whether the spatial distribution of existing TPA is reasonable, whether all the sightseeing districts can bring out TPA, and how to distribute TPA can make the best profit, almost no one cares. Based on the former views, according to "spatial distribution" — "spatial layout suitability evaluation " — "optimizing spatial layout", this study, firstly, elaborates the spatial distribution structure types, characteristics and existing problems on the basis of raveling conceptual framework, classes, effects and development history; then labors the spatial dispersal pattern and evolution mechanism of TPA on account of the theory of cultural diffusion. Secondly, it builds the evaluation index system of TPA spatial layout suitability, and calculates the index weights by Principal Component Analysis; designs the scoring criteria of the system in order to provide appropriate TPA spatial layout suitability with scientific reason in view of the combination mode of subjectivity and impersonality. Last, it presents more reasonable optimizing routines of TPA spatial layout by empirical analysis of TPA spatial layout suitability evaluation and the regularities of spatial distribution of TPA.The contents are shown below:The first chapter is introduction, stating the research backgrounds, significances, methods, contents, theoretical basis and technical routine. The second chapter is the progress of domestic and overseas. It mainly reviews the 47 articles in abroad and 167 articles in our country, and summarizes the chief study areas seriously and chooses the right direction of this research on the basis of comparison and commentary in the progress. The third chapter is the summary of TPA development. It primarily includes the concept definition of TPA and spatial diffusion, 7 types of TPA, the effect of interaction and intergrowth about TPA and tourism, four development stages of TPA—the slow, the stable, the rapid and the deep stage. The forth chapter is the analysis of spatial structure, characteristics and the existing problems of TPA. It chiefly expounds the basic perform of TPA in different regions, analyses the types of spatial structure from the level of object, balance degree and intensity. Thus, forms four features of spatial distribution of TPA. At last, it points out the shortcomings of spatial distribution of TPA.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the spatial dispersal patterns and evolution mechanism of TPA. In the first place, it states the spatial forms of TPA in different stages. Next, it labors the diffusion mode of spatial extension and transference of TPA, and unscrambles every mode from different classes. Last, it discusses how five driving factors—policy guidance, internal culture, market demand, industry expand and central demonstration makes effects on the spatial evolution of TPA.The sixth chapter is the suitability evaluation of TPA spatial layout. It principally includes establishing the suitability evaluation index system of TPA spatial layout in the frames of "externalities" — "intervening conditions" — "internal sources" from three levels— "environment base", "supply base" and "source base". There are four levels in the system, covering 1 general objective level, 3 comprehensive levels, 8 technical levels and 30 index levels. The system measures the weight of different indexes by using the SPSS software on account of Principal Component Analysis, and designs scoring criteria of the system in view of the combination mode of subjectivity and impersonality. The seventh chapter includes the empirical analysis of spatial layout suitability of TPA, optimizing routines of TPA spatial layout. First, it analyses the existing problems of our TPA's spatial distribution. Second, it screens out 56 sample cities from 31 provincial level administrative units, confirms scores of various indexes in every city and analyses suitability of TPA spatial layout of each sample according to the index weight of TPA spatial layout suitability's evaluation index system. Last, this study presents optimizing routines of TPA spatial layout from five aspects—region space, grade space, industry space, support space, and category space, in accordance with the former text. The eighth chapter includes conclusions, innovations and shortcomings. It primarily summarizes the chief conclusions and innovations of the study, describes the possible shortcomings, and proposes the future research direction.
