By means of the quantitative analysis method for the aggregation effect of rural resources such as the adjacent village resources index R, accessibility to the network, network connectivity, average path length, etc., and in combination with Japanese and Chinese rural tourism space structure factors, such as natural conditions, regional conditions, rural tourism point of the type and traffic situation, etc., this paper discussed and compared the differences and similarities of the rural tourism spatial structure between China and Japan. This paper also concluded the similarities and differences of configuration features for the rural tourism spatial structures of two countries, and analyzed the reason for the formation of differences. Taking examples from spatial structure distribution of Japanese rural tourism, optimized views for the development of rural tourism spatial structure in China were put forward.
