The Study On Economic And Trade Cooperation Between China And Russia Under The New Situation

Nowadays,both China and Russia ranks the most powerful countries in the world,as well as the largest transitional countries.As good neighbors,the economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia have both geo-advantages and strong complementarities.The economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has a long history,which weren't completely broken even during the period of deterioration between the two countries.After the collapse of the Soviet Union,to strengthen the foreign economic and trade cooperation have been set as the main task of long-term development strategy in Russia.Meanwhile,the economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia began to recover and develop gradually.In 1996,the two countries established strategic partnership of cooperation.In 2001,the two countries signed "The Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation",which emphasized the bilateral trade and economic cooperation is "the material basis of the strategic partnership of coordination with equality and trust between China and Russia".The strategic cooperation between the two countries has been escalating hereafter,especially after Putin's presidency.China and Russia has deepen their strategic partnership of coordination comprehensively,the governments of both sides attached great importance to the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.Under the joint efforts of the two countries,bilateral trade and investment has maintained rapid development momentum,economic and trade cooperation has continuously made new progress.This paper has a thorough analysis and research on these new progresses.In 2014,the Ukrainian Crisis outbroke,USA,the European Union and other western countries carried out economic sanctions on Russia,which is a heavy blow to Russian economy.With the continuous fermentation of the crisis,Russia also was in a state of isolation from western countries in politics,Russia's relations with the west fell to the bottom since the end of the cold war,the relationship was hard to improve in the short term.This strengthened the impendency for Russia to a closer economic cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries,and began to implement the strategy of economic "look east",focused on taking part in the Asia-Pacific economy,attached importance to economic cooperation between China and Russia,especially the pragmatic economic and trade cooperation between east Russia and northeast China.On the other hand,Russia's accession to the WTO provided both new opportunities and new challenges to the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia.The two countries will develop economic and trade cooperation under the world trade organization rules.In fact,in recent years,China and Russia have achieved fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation in the field of trade,investment,energy,agriculture,technology,and local cooperation,etc.In the long run,the join cooperation between China's construction of "the Silk Road Economic Belt" and Russia's construction of "Eurasian Economic Union" will push the bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a higher level for sure.This paper has a thorough and systematic analysis on the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia,and their new situation and new opportunities,based on International trade theory,the economic geography theory and the theory of regional cooperation.On this basis,this paper predicts and analyzes the future of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia,and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.The main content of this paper include:Firstly,analyze the development process and characteristics of the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia.From the analysis of the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia,this paper detailed analyses the current situation of Sino-Russian trade cooperation and investment cooperation,based on which the thesis summarizes the following characteristics:Bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia have been expanding,the investment cooperation is relatively smaller,border trade grew more rapid,local government help department and regional economic cooperation.Secondly,analyze the key areas of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between
