The Research Of Collaborative Model About Tourism Industry In Northeast Asia

As Northeast Asia countries, especially countries in the Tumen River region, have make further efforts to strengthen their cooperation, which, in turn, also boosts tourism and its collaboration in this area.Northeast Asia countries enjoy good geographical locations, and are rich in tourism resources, which give them distinct advantage in tourism. If countries within this area coordinate coherently and cooperate actively, then tourism collaboration will have a brighter outlook in the future.Against this background, every party in Northeast Asia has explored continuously the modes of cooperation in tourism in order to accelerate regional tourism collaboration.Tourism collaboration in Northeast Asia has gone through from government-led to market-oriented, and to public-private partnership. The spatial layout of tourist attractions, tourist routes and tourist zone is becoming increasingly reasonable. Its structure consists of the scenic spots of Chinese Changbai Mountain, Vladivostok, Rason and Mount Kumgang in North Korea, Jeju and East Coast of South Korea, and Mount Fuji etc., plus the tourist routes of Tumen River, East Border, high-speed rail, aviation and navigation, where the spots and routes are intertwined with each other. The sub-regional collaboration along Tumen River has evolved into a broad cooperative mechanism with China, North Korea, Russia, South Korea and Japan in hand. Nowadays, modes of cooperation have included government-led supply, market-oriented demand, and watershed type based on resources endowment etc.The idea and aim of this research is to study how to, based on the characteristics of tourism in Northeast Asia, integrate tourism resources more effectively and achieve reasonable allocation of it. This paper has investigated into modes of cooperation in North Asia(especially in Tumen river area), established an integrated cooperation mechanism and structure under which we can thoroughly expound the modes of tourism cooperation in Tumen river area in the hope of opening the subject for discussion.Therefore, firstly, this paper gives discussion about theoretic foundation of modes of tourism cooperation and clarifies the notion of tourism cooperation, after that, it explains evolutional path and possible structures of modes of tourism cooperation. It also highlights some relevant contents to tourism, tourism collaboration and modes of cooperation.Secondly, this paper also analyzes the reasons for tourism collaboration within that area and the attribute of tourism and regional characteristics are both inner and outer causes respectively. Moreover, that tourism is good for economic development is also one of the cooperative impetuses.We then introduce some specific modes of cooperation, such as cooperating around water basin, establishing distribution centers, tourist origin- tourist destination mode and other alternatives. We also explain the conditions, feasibility and target of cooperation model, apart from advantage and dilemma(plus possible solutions) facing Northeast Asia tourism.Finally, considering lessons at home and abroad, and the reality and characteristics of tourism in Tumen river area, we believe, on the basis of economic theory and above analysis, the mode of China participating in Northeast Asia tourism cooperation should put the emphasis on “Tourist generating region—destination” model, water basin type and government-led pattern, and we proposed some specific measures as well.
