Research On The Embeddedness Of Industrial Cluster Network And Its Mechanism Of Action On Corporate Competitive Advantage

Since the 21st century,The Virtual industry cluster along with the rapid development of network technology,Internet finance,e-commerce,Internet logistics and so on,begins to appear in many areas,in which virtual enterprises and related supporting institutions industrial clusters don't have the characteristics of spatial aggregation in the regional clearly,they constituted the supply chain or the interests-community structure through forming tight connections among social relations,network tie rather than the space.It follows that there also exists a close network relation which calls the network of industrial cluster out of the geographic agglomeration among the enterprises of industrial cluster.From the perspective of industrial cluster network,we take the industrial cluster as a "network embeddedness"structure to analyze the connection among enterprises of industrial cluster and its action mechanism on enterprise competitiveness,accordingly reveal the causes and characteristics behind the enterprises aggregation in industrial cluster.Economic behavior is embedded in the social structure,and the certain social structure is composed of the corresponding social network based on the theory of"embeddedness".Therefore,the network embeddedness of the enterprises in industrial cluster refers to the social network environment,network tie and the characteristic of network structure.Through literature review of the previous mathematical researchs,we found that there are not enough study on the characteristic of special embeddedness in social network and its action mechanism of industrial cluster.There for this paper,uses the embeddedness of social network to the analysis on the mutual connection relationship within the enterprises of industrial clusters,and takes the proximity theory and the approach of mechanism of learning and knowledge transfer among enterprises,to explore how to form effective "social network",and how to produce the mutual connection through the network connections and influence mechanism in the industrial cluster,and improve enterprises' competitiveness through the mechanism of knowledge transfer among enterprises.This paper builds a systemtic research structure to study the social network embeddedness and its influence mechanism to competitive advantage of enterprises herechily,following the methods of combining theoretical research and empirical analysis on the basis of the previous literature review and the condition of industry cluster development be taken,firstly,a perspective of network structure of industrial cluster,with this point of view,besides the advantage of the geographic proximity,there are also some other adjacent advantage in the relationship of social network,to promote enterprises agglomeration in industrial cluster,for the more the embeddedness theory is introduced to analysis framework for constructing the network relationship in industrial cluster;Secondly,this paper builds a "small world" network model about the industrial cluster network based on the complex network theory to disclose the effectivity of industry cluster network,because there is a characteristic of complex network system in the knowledge network of industrial cluster,and the small world network theory can reveal the essence of the phenomenon of complex correlation structure,with the help of social network theory and its analysis method,secondly,it constructs model to analyze the nature of the "small world" network in industrial cluster,and measure the interaction rate,density,concentration,characteristic path length and other variables in the structure of small world by the frequency of knowledge transfer,knowledge transfer distance and the degree of aggregation between enterprises.Thirdly,it proved that enterprise knowledge transfer network of industrial cluster conformed to the character of complex network structure of small world through computer simulation.it can improve the capacity and efficiency of knowledge transfer in enterprise by improving the communication frequency,the degree of aggregation within enterprises of the small world network,and appropriately controling the network scale and proximity among enterprises at the beginning of the industrial cluster.Fourthly,according to the rumor spread model and the SIR model of infected diseases,this research put forward an improved SIP model by introducing the propagation probability and using the method of differential dynamics,to analyze the spread mechanism of the knowledge transfer among enterprises in the industrial cluster,and consider the probability of knowledge dissemination should be made up of two parts,one is the probability which the enterprises of cluster network can receive the information of knowledge transfer,the other is the probability which the information can bring enough attraction to be transfered among network enterprises.It found it is the key factors to influence the knowledge information dissemination stagnated or not,that the change of the value of enterprise(nodes)degree and the stimulation degree which enterprises can be attracted;and the stimulation degree of attraction depended on the degree of interest in knowledge information and relation degree among network enterprises of information senders.Fifthly,based on the above analysis,this paper constructed an empirical analysis framework of the characteristic about network embeddedness in enterprises of industry cluster,the process of knowledge transfer and competitive advantage of enterprises,it also added a Proximity as a moderation to propose hypothesis,and make statistic analysis through obtaining firsthand data by a questionnaire survey of high-tech enterprises in Xi 'an and other citys.The empirical analysis results show that there is a positive relationship between network embeddedness and competitive advantage.The better the network embeddedness,the better the competitive advantage of cluster enterprise;knowledge transfer partially mediates this relationship,an effective knowledge transfer can promote network embeddedness to play a good role,and then improve enterprises' competitive advantage;and proximity positively moderates the intermediation of knowledge transfer between network embeddedness and competitive advantage,the greater the proximity and knowledge transfer,the more positive influence between the network embeddedness and competitive advantage;the higher the proximity the more stronger the positive indirect effect between network embeddedness and competitive advantage.This research results effectively expands the vision of industrial cluster theory,and the explanatory power of the competitive advantage in industry cluster to the characteristic in the relationship of the cluster network;through effectively explains the interconnectedness of the cluster enterprise measures the distance within enterprises by proximity;and shows how network relationship among the industrial cluster enterprises can improve the competitiveness of enterprises through knowledge sharing by introducing the process of analysising knowledge transfer.This research also provides useful suggestions to the practice of real enterprises and the policy of industrial cluster,on the one hand,it can guide the enterprise not only to pay attention to the geographical cooperation,but also should pay more attention to the network of relationship among the upstream and downstream of supply chain,and other related enterprises,organizations and departments;on the other hand,new policy should also jump out of the traditional mode of the regional planning when the government made a development policy in industrial clusters,,so as to build a new policy of industrial cluster network which can include virtual industry cluster.
