| Today, industrial clusters have extraordinary importance for the world economic growth. China's clusters have also made quite great progress. However, there are many problems still. The most serious problem is that clusters are short of competitive advantages in global economy competitions, so clusters in China can not gain more benefit in the world market, and can not achieve sustainable development. Given these reasons, my thesis focuses on essence and source of sustainable competitive advantages in clusters. Then, we study the constitution and evolution of the clusters'knowledge competence systems, and furtherly, we propose that the clusters have to keep the balance of different knowledge competence if they want to have their own.From the view of knowledge, we, firstly,suggest that a cluster's sustainable competitive advantages are mainly in its knowledge system according to the present conclusion, and essentially, is constant evolution of its knowledge competence system. Secondly, we redefine the four concepts, cluster's knowledge absorption, knowledge integration, knowledge creation, knowledge utilization, and analyse the four knowledge activities'mechanisms, the factors influencing their consequences, and how they conduct to support the cluster's sustainable competitive advantages. Thirdly, we analyse the relation among the knowledge absorbing competence, knowledge integrating competence, knowledge creating competence and knowledge utilizing competence of the cluster, then we deduce and prove six proposition about how to enhance a cluster's knowledge creating competence and knowledge utilizing competence by strengthen its knowledge absorbing competence, knowledge integrating competence, and then promote the evolution of the knowledge competence systems and the development of the sustainable competitive advantages. Following, this paper agree that, the efforts made by knowledge creating competence and knowledge utilizing competence vary from Hi-tech industrial clusters to traditional industrial clusters, which will be proved by an example. Finally, we study the problem on how to improve the environment of the clusters'knowledge systems. |
