Sinomine Resource Group Co.,Ltd.(Hereinafter refers as “Sinomine”)has been devoted to the oversea resources exploration for over 20 years since 1999.As one of the best practicing enterprises in the field of geological exploration,Sinomine grows rapidly from small to big and from weak to strong. This thesis is based on fundamental resource theory, enterprise evolution theory and industrial economics theory to study the characteristics of Sinomine’s internationalization strategy, strategic performance, success factors, evolution mechanism, and industrial ecological optimization. The results are concluded as follows:1.The study shows that Sinomine’s internationalization strategy can be categorized into three phases. The first phase is characterized by “Borrow ship to sail”,specialization and “migrant worker”.The second phase is characterized by its vertical integration and concentric diversification. And the third phase is characterized by Sinomine’s cross-sector and leaping development strategy. All of the three phases achieve good outcomes, reflected in its financial performance, market performance, and industrial ecological performance, respectively. The success of the three phases strategy relies not only on its senior management team, but also on the combination of its internal resources capabilities and the external environment opportunities,as well as the effective control among Sinomine’s senior management team on strategic decisions, strategic actions, and strategic performance.2.The study suggests that the evolution mechanism of Sinomine’s internationalization strategy can be summarized as a logical processes consisting of five key elements,i.e.a)the internal and external motivations,b)the clear cognitive of the company’s mission and vision among Sinomine’s management team,c)the consistent applied and cognitive learning,d)strength reshaping & resources integration, and e)transforming & upgrading the strategy. These elements jointly promote the resources integration and strategy transformation. The implementation of strategic transformation and upgrading needs to be achieved through the "three factors" coupling mechanism,start-response mechanism, internal and external coordination mechanism, dynamic adjustment mechanism, assessment and correction mechanism, and reward and punishment mechanism.3.Based on the systematic analysis on Sinomine’s industry system, its industrial supporting system as well as the existing problems,Author gives the suggestions for optimizing Sinomine’s industrial ecological system. And Author advices to cultivate Sinomine’s core competiveness, following Robert S.Kaplan’s theories on his Balanced Score Card and Strategy Map.This thesis is an attempt to deepen the research on the internalization of Chinese enterprises.Hopefully it will shed some light on the internationalization strategy for not only Sinomine but also other similar Chinese enterprises.
