Chinese medicine goes back to ancient times, in thousands of years it has played animportant role in human health and life .It is a valuable cultural wealth left by our ancestors,but also increasingly becomes an economic asset. With the increasing awareness ofenvironmental protection and more of human nature-lovers, and the lack of chemical agents,governments around the world, business and the public are increasingly concerned abouttraditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology, they has made remarkable progress inthe research and application of Chinese medicine. The world’s leading pharmaceuticalcompanies, such as Pfizer and Bayer have Enter into Chinese market, China is graduallylosing the advantages of Chinese medicine. According to statistics, China currently hasabout 4000 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine. However, the proportion of exports in theinternational market is only to 3%--5%. 2001 China’s import and export of proprietaryChinese medicines source of medicines amounts to 152 million U.S. dollars .Obviously,how to maintain and carry forward the traditional Chinese medicine advantages becomes animportant task of the government and enterprises.October 10, 2002 the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State DevelopmentPlanning Commission, State Economic and Trade Commission, Ministry of Health, DrugAuthority Intellectual Property Rights Bureau, the Chinese Medicine Council, the ChineseAcademy of Sciences jointly promulgated the "Outline for the ModernizationDevelopment". China made clear the road of Chinese medicine industry to internation.Internationalization of the Chinese medicine industry itself becomes an inevitable trend inthe development of Chinese medicine industry. However, the Chinese medicine industry toachieve international faces many obstacles.As having the high-tech industry, medicine, high input, high-risk, high-yield,long-cycle characteristics, the low concentration is the biggest obstacles to theachievement of the internationally of Chinese medicine industry Increasing theconcentration of the industry is due to the international goal of the Chinese medicineindustry.Based on international development of the Chinese medicine industry& the degree of industrial concentration of the industry, This thesis uses mathematical theory and empiricalanalysis to wait reunification of the close link between them, the result is high correlationbetween the them, that is to say raising the degree of industrial concentration cansignificantly enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese industries andinternationalization.On the road of raising the degree of industrial concentration and the process ofrealization of the international industry, we must improve our government’s industrialpolicy, escort for the healthy development of Chinese medicine industry. Meanwhile, wemust take groups of Chinese enterprises and the Chinese medicine industry adapt to therules of the market economy on their own strength, enhance their internationalcompetitiveness and achieve the goal of the entire industry in the international market。...
