Polyacrylate?PAE?is a homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic ester monomers and widely used in the fields of electronic packaging and electrical components construction.In this paper,a type of metal-carbon material/PAE conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive was synthesized to meet the need of developing electrically conductive jointings,as well as conducting and adhesive properties were researched.Besides,in order to monitor the ethanol concentration in the environment,aluminum doped zinc oxide?Al-ZnO?and cobaltosic oxide?Co3O4?nanomaterials were prepared in turn to form Al-ZnO single film and Co3O4/Al-ZnO dual-films,followed by the fabrication of room-temperature gas sensors based on Al-ZnO films and Co3O4/Al-ZnO dual-films with the help of PAE,and the sensor responses of the Al-ZnO and Co3O4/Al-ZnO sensors to the ethanol vapor in the environment were studied as well.Organic-solvent-soluble PAE was synthesized by a solution polymerization method using methyl acrylate?MA?and butyl acrylate?BA?as soft monomer and hard monomer.To improve the adhesive effects of HAE on substrate objects,acrylic acid?AA?and hydroxyethyl acrylate?HEA?were employed as crosslinking monomers.The effects of reaction temperature,the mass ratio and feeding way of the initiator AIBN,and the mass ratio of MA,AA,HEA,RR on the adhesive properties of PAE were researched.According to the results,when the polymerization temperature is 80?,the mass ratio of AIBN?wAIBN/w?BA+MA??,MA?wMA/w?BA+MA??,AA?w AA/w?AA+BA+MA??,HEA?wHEA/w?HEA+AA+BA+MA??and RR?wRR/w?HEA+AA+BA+MA+RR??are respectively 0.4wt%,28.5 wt%,6.0 wt%,3.0 wt%and 10.0 wt%,under the triggering of AIBN which fed all at once,the as-obtained PAE showed optimized conducting and adhesion performance,which are 1.51 KN/m of 180°peel strength,0.65 MPa of shear strength,7#of initial adhesion and 376 min of holding power.The Ag/rGO conductive filler was prepared by depositing nano-silver?Ag?particles on the surface of rGO with a silver mirror reaction,and then the Ag/rGO was filled into PAE matrix using solution blending to prepare high-performance electrically conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive?ECA?.The research shows that when the mass fraction of Ag/rGO in the dry components of ECA is 10%,the as-fabricated ECA achieved promising conducting and adhesive properties,which are 2.4x10-22 s/cm of conductivity,0.62 KN/m of 180°peeling strength and 0.67 MPa of shear strength.To improve the concentration of free electrons in ZnO,and thus to improve the detection ability to ethanol,Al-doped Zinc Oxide?AZO?nanoparticles with Al mol.%concentration(MAl/(MAl+MZn)×100%)of 0,1,3 and 5%were synthesized by an FSP process which using zinc naphthenic?Zn?np?2?and aluminum acetylacetonate?Al?acac?3?as precursor salts to mix into m-xylene.The results suggest that the Al-ZnO nanoparticles were composed of loose crystal clusters,and the particle sizes of the Al-ZnO samples are ranging from 19 to 60 nm.The impedances of bulks made by these samples can be greatly reduced by prober concentrations of Al doped in ZnO.Particularly,when the frequency is 1.0 MHz,Al-ZnO with 1 mol.%Al under an annealing treatment of 300?for 12 h in air has the lowest resistance and the highest reactance?negative value?,namely,the overall impedance and resistivity are 3.6×102?and 1.38×102??m.Under the adhesion effect of low concentration of PAE,three types of Al-ZnO particles with 0,1 and 3 mol.%Al were made to be films on interdigitated gold electrodes?IDGE?substrates.After an annealing treatment of 300?for 12 h in air,ethanol gas sensors based on Al-ZnO films were obtained.Research on the sensing performance of the sensors indicates that the sensor film with 1 mol.%Al and a deposition time of 45 s?3.5?m of film thickness?has achieved the best responses to ethanol vapor,which are29%at 0.1 ppm,65%at 0.2 ppm,151%at 0.6 ppm and 192%at 1.0 ppm in a testing period of 1000 s?16.7 min?.Saturating responses can be observed when the ethanol concentration is over 0.6 ppm.Additionally,its response time was 63 s to 0.6 ppm and23 s to 1.0 ppm.Co3O4 dense films were sputtered on Al-ZnO films with 1 mol.%Al and 45 s of deposition time?1%Al-ZnO-45 s?by magnetron sputtering to form Co3O4/Al-ZnO dual-films.Then p-n typed dual-films were made to be gas sensors under the adhesion of PAE.Research on sensing performance of the sensors shows that the sensor composed of 1%Al-ZnO-45 s film and Co3O4 with 9 nm film thickness displayed the best sensing performance,which are 109%to 0.1 ppm,206%to 0.2 ppm,485%to 0.6ppm and 663%to 1.0 ppm ethanol vapor.Saturating responses can be seen when the ethanol concentration is over 0.6 ppm in 1000 s.Importantly,the response time was 63s to 0.6 ppm and 23 s to 1.0 ppm.Importantly,the detecting limit of the optimized Co3O4/Al-ZnO is low to 40 ppb ethanol,when a sensor response of 13%is achieved.
