With the adcance of national energy-saving and emission reduction policy as well as the development of renewable energy strategy continuously,the scale of China's wind power achieved significiant growth in the past several years.Under the large-scale and centralized development mode,the intermittent and volatility of the wind power would threat the security and stability of power grid.To solve this problem,we should not only focus on the optimization design of the wind power,but also strengthen the construction of the power source for peak regulation.In recent years,the combination of energy storage system and wind farm has been widely concentrated,pumped hydro energy storage is on of the most mature and economical type of energy storage system.The method of using large capacity pumped hydro energy storage has become an important measure to ensure the safe and stable of the power grid with large scale wind power.However,how to determine the capacity of the pumped hydro energy storage with the uncertainty of wind power is a problem to be saved,as well as how to optimize the scheduling of the power system with pumped hydro energy storage and wind farm.Based on the above,this paper focus on the optimization control strategy research on pumped hydro energy storage considering wind power penetration.First and foremost,the theoretical basis of system operation with pumped hydro energy storage will be comprehensive elaborated.The main contents include:the operation working principle and basic structure of pumped hydro energy storage,the function of pumped hydro energy storage in the system,the benefit analysis of pumped hydro energy storage,the operation mode of pumped hydro energy storage under the backgrodund of development of large-scale wind power.The focus of this paper is the the operation mode of pumped hydro energy storage under the backgrodund of development of large-scale wind power,as well as the systematic and comprehensive exposition of the issues above.On this basis,the subsequent research contents would be supported.Secondly,the planning model based on the wind power output scenario tree prediction method will be established.We use the method of scenario tree analysis to describe the uncertainty of wind power output.On the basis of wind farm output scenario set,and the premise of minimizing the cost of system operation,we establish the planning model of pumped hydro energy storage with high wind penetration.We select the scenarios with high probility to analyse,and calculate the operation cost of the system in these scenarios.Then we use the model established can get the capacity of the pumped storage power staion,and compared with the actual capacity so as to verify the feasibility of the model.Thirdly,the system scheduling problem compatible with wind power and pumped hydro energy storage is studied.We will establish the scheduling model of uint set combined with pumped hydro energy storage to study the operation problem of the system.Then,through a 10 units numerical example study,we compare the economical results of two cases which is with or without the pumped hydro energy storage.Fourthly,the optimal control strategy of wind-stortage system under the AGC management will be studied.We build the area control error analysis model to calculate the real-time deviation between the system power demand and the unit sets output.On this base,we establish the automatic generation control optimization model to analyse the participation coefficient of the units in order to determine the power output allocation proportion of each unit type.At last,we verify the feasibility of the model through the the simulation analysis of market empirical analysis.Finally,we will build the evaluation model of pumped hydro energy storage operation benefits and the environment benefits.At first,we will analyse the benefits of pumped power station to determine the parameters.Then,we establish the evaluation model in both conditions as power constrained and unconstrained.At last,we calculate the operation and environmental benefits of pumped hydro energy storage in the example system.The research provides a strong basis for theoretical methods and models of pumped hydro energy storage capacity planning and the benefits evaluation.And its aim is to support the large-scale use of wind power and the development of the pumped hydro energy storage in the future.
