In recent years,with boost of concepts such as Digital City,Smart City and Sponge City,more and more attention has been paying to urban 3D modeling and urban environment simulation analysis.Recently,as the development of modelling and analysis for global urban areas,related research is gradually developing toward the refined and simulation of local urban areas.Urban space consists of several urban residential regions,factories,and public areas such as roads,rivers,public gardens and commercial regions.Among those areas,urban residential regions are typical management areas,due to their relative independence from planning,construction to management.Compared to the macro-scale modeling research of urban areas,urban residential regions lack both 3D scene models and interior simulation analysis.However,since urban residential regions have definite boundaries against the outside,and their internal multi-function systems work collaboratively,it is fair to consider urban regions to be typical geographical units of urban space,therefore should become basic spatial units in modelling and analysis for Digital City and Smart City development.Based on the current demand for upgrading urban human settlements and the situation that analyzing research for urban residential region models are rare,this paper focuses on the modeling method of urban residential regions,which considers the geographical analysis.The paper summarizes the features of urban residential regions modeling,visualization and geographical analysis,reviews the overall arrangement and structure of urban residential region scenes and designs a concept model.Then further organizes information of urban residential region scenes in order to meet the needs of the 3D scene expression and geographical analysis model integration,finally constructs a prototype system from the point of practical application and verifies the feasibility of this research by experiment.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1)Research on urban residential region conceptual scene modeling.Starting from the visual expression and geographic analysis features,the needs of urban residential region scene modeling are summarized.Through the study of arrangement,classification and decomposition for community system elements,the scene concept model is constructed based on object hierarchical structure and systematic organization,providing a unified data view for scene modeling.(2)Research on information organization and structure mapping method for urban residential region scenes.Based on the unified data expression exchange model UDX,the object information organization of system-element-relation is formed,according to the hierarchical structure of the scene conceptual model.The basic framework of urban residential region scene modeling is constructed through three levels:basic object level,information resource level and modeling application level,in line with the needs of geographic analysis.The corresponding structure mapping method is constructed based on the data structures of visual models and geographical analysis models,thus supports follow-up researches on data extraction,integration and operation of urban region models.(3)Research on integrated simulation method of urban residential region scenes and geographical analysis models.Based on the process characteristic analysis of urban residential region geographical analysis models at integrated operation level,the model operation interface,data context interface and model context interface are designed.The assembled simulation and logic control strategy is implemented for the integration of community geographic analysis model and data,and finally the integrated operation framework of community model is constructed according to the design pattern of extensible interface.(4)Prototype system based on integration and operation of constructed urban residential region scenes and analysis models.A prototype system of urban residential region oriented scene integration and modeling platform is constructed.Visual representation of scenes based on plan and design data,point cloud data and oblique photography data is verified.The integrated simulation of urban region residential scene and urban storm water model,noise model and explosion model is realized.In this paper,a method of urban residential region scene modeling considering geographical analysis is proposed,forming a mesoscopic urban residential region modeling and simulation method right in between of macroscopic city simulation and microscopic architecture simulation.This paper is a groundwork for urban residential region researches using geography analysis.The relevant results can be expected to solve some comprehensive problems of urban residential residential regions,to promote the development and application of BIM technology at region scale,and eventually to a better residential environment.
