The vernacular dwellings have close connection with human’s life,which indicates the wisdom of people in life.What’s more,the inhabitants keep some very important information in history,Which embodies human’s productivity level,social economy and culture at different period.In our country,the formation of local-style dwellings resulted from combination of climates and natural conditions.Whatever kind of buildings they are,they do have profound culture.Although the buildings are developing and evolving,they still keep strong vitality.The traditional buildings are handed down from generation to generation,which is harmonious with nature in combining landforms,saving land,adapting to climate,saving energy,protecting environment and so on.This essay mainly focuses on the aesthetic and ecology of nation,and the feature of minority’s building character in Northwest of Guizhou.Besides,it discusses the connection of ecological condition,vernacular dwelling and people’s life to try to show residential environment,Which maybe enlightening for contemporary building construction,and to make people who live in newly built folk houses develop a sense of belonging.First of all,this paper illustrates the reason why I choose the topic and the motivation analysis.Morever,I carry out some relevant analyses on domestic and foreign researches to prove the main purpose and significance of this paper,then,I determines the basic framework and research method.The content includes the summary of some outstanding people’s studies and the academic background in the research direction.On the basis of these,I put forward the purpose and significance of the study,which is not only the main innovative points but also concerned by us,andfix the related research content and method.At the same time,This chapter includes geography,culture,history,and ethnic background.Above these are to be connected with the subsequent essay.This essay mainly studies the rural folk house that is situated in Northwest of Guizhou.In this essay,I dissected some influential elements about folk houses,such as local climate,natural geographical condition and so on to understand the local dividing of areas and some unfavorable environment conditions.Secondly,the paper is a summary about residence’s formation and development.First,I showed the conception of“residence”from the origin of resident,development and type.It is also important to know why the residence’s existence is meaningful.According to folk house’s ecology,region and adaptability,I come up with an optimized strategy that is the sustainable development of folk house’s evolution in Northwest of Guizhou,and tried to build an ecological model which suits folk house construction.Second,I concentrate on settlement’s spatial arrangement.After understanding some conceptions such as nature,productive labour,geomancy,patriarchal clan system and settlement pattern,I conduct an elaboration of ecology and culture to try to master folk house’s differences in different natural environment and human environment.All these preparations are to manifest folk house’s uniqueness.As a fundamental physical form in human’s life,vernacular dwellings are invested with a feature of“living”.Vernacular dwelling’s characteristics such as intuitive image,component feature,building technology reflect materialistic cultural ideology and spiritual strength.Third,I take“space”and“memory”as the two variables to know the history of the village.Different types of architecture not only provide the function of“container”in terms of the essence of building,but also a powerful proof to record each and every ethnic civilization of human being in the history.All of these are contributed to the prominent and objective features of housing building to convey consciousness.By describing the changes of the living condition,the compression of the past and present housing environment and the relation between housing building and cultural areas to know the culture of all Northwest ethnic groups in Guizhou,and then show the cultural transition of the housing architecture of Northwest of Guizhou.In the end,this paper analyzes and explaineds the adaptability of the ecological dwellings in terms of culture in Northwest of Guizhou.Basing on the technical level of ecological building of the residential adaptability,this paper studies the development issue on the ecologicalization of rural residential building,explores the ecological construction model suitable for the rural residential environment in the mountainous region of Northwest of Guizhou and makes a technical route of development in the bearing capacity range of the rural folk houses in environment,resources and economy,which plays a positive role to enrich and improve the theory and practice of research on the rural folk houses in the region of Northwest of Guizhou.At the same time,I review the whole paper.As a conclusion chapter,this paper comes to a summary and I come up with some unsolved questions.Besides,I introspecte the deficiencies of this essay,and get to know the problems in writing and make an expectation for this study.
