As we know,many factors affect gear transmission performances,such as materials,heat treatment,manufacturing precision,lubrication conditions and tooth surfaces.But tooth surfaces are the crucial ones because they are the direct acting surfaces to transmit motion and power.Involute gears,cylindrical worms and bevel gears are all based on the principle of surface conjugate.Based on this principle,a systematic and comprehensive system from the solution of conjugate tooth surface to the analysis of tooth surface properties has been established at home and abroad.However,the development of production and science and technology makes it difficult for existing gear transmissions to meet the requirements of higher transmission performance.Although many scholars have proposed solutions to problems from different angles,they have not been effectively improved.Therefore,starting from the study of geometry,breaking through the limitations of the traditional conjugate surface principle,it is of great significance to carry out research on the new meshing theory.Chen Bingkui and others started with the most basic geometric elements such as curves and surfaces,breaking through the limitations of the existing conjugate surface meshing principle,and creatively proposing a new gear by revealing the meshing relationship between curves and surfaces,and named it Constructed tooth pairs.According to the different meshing methods,it is divided into: curve-surface and curvecurve constructed tooth pairs.In this paper,the goal of the curve-curve constructed tooth pairs is to carry out related research.The main contents are as follows:(1)The basic definition of the conjugate curve and the basic conditions that the conjugate contact of the curve should satisfy are given.The relationship between the relative motion velocity and the normal vector of the curve meshing is studied.Based on this,the meshing equation and meshing line equation of curve conjugate meshing are deduced.And the geometric characteristics of the conjugate mesh of the curve are studied,and the modeling method and equation of the osculating are proposed.Then the general calculation method of the curvature and torsion of the conjugate curve is proposed.(2)The contact characteristics of the conjugate mesh of the curve are studied.The conjugate curve is analyzed and studied by taking the cylindrical spiral as an example.After that,the correct meshing condition of the gear and the basic requirements that the tooth surface should meet are carried out.Based on the basic theory of tooth surface construction,the normal equidistant curve envelope method,the rack and pinion method and the normal tooth profile motion method are studied,and the equation of the tooth surfaces is derived.(3)Based on the basic requirements of gear transmission,the basic criteria for the tooth profile design are given,and the basic definitions of relevant parameters of gear profile are given.The tooth profile of the cutter is studied.The principle and method of solving the corresponding tooth profile of the hobbing,worm grinding and forming gear are given.The parameterized accurate modeling method based on PRO/E software is proposed.(4)The normal curvature,induced normal curvature and torsion of tooth surface are studied,and the relationship between principal curvature and normal curvature of paired tooth surfaces is discussed.The interference problem is analyzed,and the solution to avoid the interference problem is proposed.The calculation method of the minimum number of teeth without rooting is proposed.The calculation of the sliding rate of the tooth surface is proposed.The theoretical model and method of the basic equation of elastic deformation for the tooth surface is established.the size and direction of the contact ellipse are discussed.(5)The processing and testing methods suitable for the constructed tooth pairs are studied,and the gear samples were processed by three methods: hobbing,milling and grinding.After that,FLENDER industrial gearbox and constructed tooth pairs are selected to carry out comparative experiments of transmission efficiency and load-bearing capacity.The experimental results show that under the same experimental conditions,the constructed tooth pairs have higher transmission efficiency and stronger load-carrying capacity,which lays an experimental foundation for the large-scale engineering application of the constructed tooth pairs.
