With the acceleration of urbanization, urban rail transit that is a safe,convenient,efficient,environment-friendly and economic modern transportation mode has gradually become the backbone of the urban transportation system. With the scale expansion of urban rail transit network, the passenger demand has increased dramatically and network structure has been increasingly complex, its problems existing in the development process also gradually appeared.Problems such as the capacity shortage in peak periods, waste of capacity in off-peak periods,a mass of passengers lined up outside the normalized inflow control station are caused by mismatching between supply and demand in the urban rail transit system, which also has been the core problem of the transportation field to be solved. As the breakthrough point,to alleviate the phenomenon of mismatch between supply and demand in urban rail transit, respectively from three aspects: the supply side, demand side, supply and demand coordination,we focus on the research of train operational plan and passenger inflow control strategy.By refining the transportation organization process, constructing the model, and optimizing the organization plan, the waste of transit resources is reduced, the passenger travel efficiency is improved, and supply and demand are matched. This thesis mainly includes the following four aspects:(1)The laws of matching supply and demand in urban rail transit system is revealed. The concepts of transportation supply and demand in urban rail transit system are clarified. The main contradiction between supply and demand and the cause of its generation are analyzed. The law of the matching is systematically studied, and the adjustment strategy of the matching is summarized, which lays a theoretical foundation for the following research on the optimization method of matching supply and demand.Taking this as the starting point, the main research object of this paper is established: the train operation plan and passenger flow control strategy.(2)From the supply side, the train operational plan is optimized to improve the matching of supply and demand.Based on the dynamic passenger demand, the advantages of cyclic timetable and non-cyclic timetable are combined and the concept of the hybrid timetable is put forward.Considering the restraints of rolling stock and train capacity, the passenger waiting time and the train running time are taken as the objective function. The hybrid demand-driven and cyclic timetabling model that considers rolling stock planning is constructed, and the three-phase heuristic algorithm is proposed to solve the model.Five kinds of performance indicators are proposed, which are used to set up the demand-driven hybrid timetable evaluation system. The correctness and efficiency of the model and algorithm are verified by a small numerical case, and the validity of the method is verified by a real-world case study based on the data of Jinshan line in Shanghai. The results show that the optimization of train operational plan can significantly improve the efficiency of passengers, and then improve the matching degree between the transit capacity and the passenger demand.(3)From the demand side, the passenger inflow control strategy is optimized to improve the matching of supply and demand. On the condition of oversaturated demand in peak periods,we take the passenger inflow control strategy as the research object.Taking the efficiency of passengers, the fairness of inflows on each station and the equilibrium of inflows in each period into consideration, combining the influence of the inflow control strategy on the passenger spatial and temporal distribution, the coordinative passenger inflow control model considering fairness and equilibrium is constructed. The improved simulated annealing algorithm based on the passenger simulation is proposed to solve the model. The validity of the method is verified by a real-world case study based on the data of Batong line in Beijing. The results show that the optimization of passenger inflow control strategy can significantly improve the efficiency of passengers and the utilization of train capacity, and then improve the matching degree between the transit capacity and the passenger demand,so as to alleviate the mismatch between supply and demand.(4)From both sides of the supply and demand, the passenger inflow control strategy and train operational plan are collaboratively optimized to improve the matching of supply and demand. The concept of reservation travel in urban rail transit is put forward. The basic theories of reservation mechanism and demand response mechanism are proposed, which is realized by the urban rail transit reservation system. As the core of the system, the inflow control and operational plan collaborative optimization model is constructed, which takes into account such factors as passenger travel cost, train operation cost, heterogeneity of passengers, fairness of inflows, train capacity, type of train marshaling and so on.The adaptive large scale neighborhood search algorithm based on priority passenger allocation is established to solve the model. The effectiveness of the method is verified by a real-world case study based on the data of Batong line in Beijing. The results show that the collaborative optimization of inflow control and operational plan can not only significantly improve the efficiency of passengers but also reduce the train operation cost, and then improve the matching degree between the transit capacity and the passenger demand. We focus on the core problem of transport organization in urban rail transit system: mismatching of supply and demand, the research is carried out from multiple levels, which provides the theoretical basis for the urban rail transit operators to timetabling, draw up rolling stock plan and passenger inflow control plan, and the theory system of transport organization in urban rail transit is perfected. The proposal of reservation mechanism and demand response mechanism breaks the information barrier between supply and demand, and realizes the efficient information interaction between the supply and demand. The reservation travel theory fundamentally solves the problem of supply and demand mismatch, provides a new idea for the future development of urban rail transit, and lays a theoretical foundation for the development of building China's strength in transportation. With 74 Figures,35 Tables and 124 Reference Literatures.
