Bibliography of Chinese medicine is a catalog book.It was used to registered all the ancient documents of TCM that collected in the library of Manchuria medical university. For its fully detailed records, unique structure and scarcity, this book retains a significant role in the literature research on traditional Chinese medicine.Presently, the research of Bibliography of Chinese medicine is rarely touched.Only Yan Haijun further explored the basic information such as background and structure of this book in his PHD thesis-Book research of Bibliography of Chinese medicine. He also analyzed and investigated the twenty four books(written during Ming dynasty)collected in the Bibliography of Chinese medicine systematically from the perspective of bibliography.Bibliography of Chinese medicine includes fifty four ancient books of TCM,now there still has 30 books of them need to be further studied. Those books include primary edition as well as officially block-printed edition, most of them are carved fine and kept well.Being used appropriately, those books will make great contributions to the development of literature research of TCM.Among the 30 medical books to be studied, there are 5 prescription books, includingBei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang(??????),She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Yi Fang Kao(???),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????),Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????).Although the edition of Bei Ji Qian Jin Yao Fang(??????)is an engraved edition in Ming dynasty, its content does not represent the development level of traditional Chinese medicine in Ming dynasty. Moreover,it is a hot research topic in modern traditional Chinese medicine field because of its rich content. As the first treatise on prescription in China,Yi Fang Kao(???)is not included in the research scope because its style and content are not the same as the three books of prescription. The Ming dynasty was an important stage when the theories and methods of Chinese medical health preservation tended to be perfected. Its theoretical core is more closely integrated with the theoretical basis of traditional Chinese medicine. She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????),Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????)reflect the concept and methods of health preservation in this period, which are representative to some extent. And the 3 books are all written by officials of Ming dynasty, the author of three books written time is mid Ming dynasty, from the content on the priority 3 books are the keeping in good health, all emphasizing the importance of tonic prescription, and part of the tonic prescriptions in the 3 books has certain inheritance relationship. For their wide circulation, clear efficiency and high security, many tonic prescriptions will promote the development of modern research and clinical application of TCM once being developed and utilized well.Hence, the 3 prescription books of Ming dynasty which collected in the Bibliography of Chinese medicine are worth for delved and studied systematically. For the books collected in the Bibliography of Chinese medicine mainly record detailed information such as book names, volumes, authors, authors of prefaces, preface time, proofreaders, form and arrangement of lines in calligraphy, structures,so in the process of research, our team went to the library of Academy of Chinese medical sciences to refer and check the detailed information of She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????),Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????).Detailed records are made to ensure the authenticity of the research.Guided by theories and methods of TCM Philology, this passage further studied the authors'experience, achievements, book versions and circulatings, writing process and mental journey of these three books on the basis of related literatures with the methods of materials and survey, contrasts, field researches.Facing some difficult questions, our team gained help by field research, consulting experts of TCM Philology of Academy of Chinese medical sciences through telephone and wechat.Meanwhile, thirty seven prescriptions are chosen after the researches on tonic prescriptions in She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????).Through careful contrast and analysis,as well as the spread and inheritance of these prescriptions, six wide-spread,high-impacted prescriptions which are still in use are chosen to be investigated and exploded.Through researches of She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????),Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????),following parts are cleared:1.She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????)Author:Zhang Shiche(???),born into a rather wealthy family in JIN county.Under the guidance of his father,Zhang Shiche learned a hunderd schools of thought and some knowledge of TCM.Later under the guidance of his nephew Zhang Bangqi learned knowledge of literature and Confucian classics, eventually he became Minister of War in Nanjin. After resigning in return,he focused on literature creations, directed poetry club and assist many talents. For his love to medicine,Zhang Shiche collected various prescriptions in his spare time and complied them as eleven volumes of She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????)with two volumes of Ji Jiu Liang Fang(????).As the main achievements of Zhang shiche, these two books are widely spread, influential and still been applied clinically.By studying and organizing related records of She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),the present version of She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????)can be generally divided into two kinds:firstly, the first carved edition by Zhang shiche during Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty(1550),which is saved in National Central Library and library of Academy of Chinese medical sciences. Then there was a version by administrative commissioner of Jiangxi who carved this version during Jiajing period of Ming dynasty(1562),presently collected in Hai Wai Zhong Yi Zhen Shan Ben Cong Kan(???????????);Pang's version carved during period of Wanli thirty-eight years(1610),collected in Zhen Ben Yi Ji Cong Kan(??????),the supplementary carved version by mansion of Lord Heng in Long Qing three years(1569).This carved version don't have any modern version presently and are mostly used as checked copy for its fine carving and clear handwriting. She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????)collected in Bibliography of Chinese medicine are just the supplementary carved version checked by Ma Chongru and carved by Li Yongzhong.Consequently,Bibliography of Chinese medicine recorded that the edition of Ma Chongru carved during Jia Jing twenty-nine years(1550)should be erected as newly-edited version by mansion of Lord Heng. And the version carved in Jia Jing Twenty-nine years(1550)should be the primary edition by Zhang Shiche. The newly-edited version by mansion of Lord Heng was first preserved in Manchuria medical university after the entrust of Manchuria railway library and later collected by central institute of health.Presently, two kinds of versions are collected in library of Academy of Chinese medical sciences.Through researches of the tonic prescriptions in She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang, nineteen tonic prescriptions are preliminarily ascertained.Among those prescriptions, for example,Ba Xian Tian Shou Dan(?????),Mi Chuan Shi Zi Wan(?????),Qian Jin Bu Yi Bi Tian Zhu Yang Bu Jing Gao(???????????).Further researches have been conducted in its main treatment, formula compatibility, drug processing and influences. At last, these three prescriptions have instructive meanings or modern clinical application and will have brighter future once been changed and adapted.2.Fu Shou Jing Fang(????)Fu Shou Jing Fang was firstly wrote and published by Wumin, who used to be magistrate of Huazhou in Shaanxi province(present Hua county in Shaanxi province).Wumin attached great importance to health preservation thus the first volume is named as‘asthenic disease section'and the second volume‘the medicinal liquor section'.These two volumes collected fifty tonic prescriptions totally.Later on,this book was supplemented by Wang Laixian in Wanli fifteen years(1587),discussion of medical theories, tonic diet, medicinal liquor are added. This part totally chosen thirty prescriptions, and most of his theoretical discussions follow the aim of Neijing. Also, most of the tonic die are simple and practical, mostly are collected from Book of Yin Shan Zheng Yao(????).After on-the-spot investigation,it is determined that the record about version of Li Weide in the first year of Hongwu(1368)in National Central Library is wrong and should be changed as after Jiajing thirteen(1534).The present version of Fu Shou Jing Fang has three systems.Firstly,Fu Shou Jing Fang is recorded in Zhen Ben Yi Shu Ji Cheng(??????)not regarding its volumes which is carved by Cao Shuiyu.Secondly,Fu Shou Jing Fang-the version of two volumes, carved by Xushi and published by Zhonghua Book Company in2016,is presently collected inHai Wai Zhong Yi Zhen Shan Ben Cong Kan(?????????).Thirdly,Fu Shou Jing Fang-the version of three volumes, which includes photocopy of carved version of Wang Laixian carved in the Wanli fifteen(1587),which is published by Ancient Books of TCM in 1986,is collected in Academy of Chinese medical sciences since.Another one is the version of Ming Qing three books published by Chinese Medicine Press in1995.These two books are both published. Also, the book name recored in Bibliography of Chinese medicine is wrong and should be changed as newly supplementary edition of Fu Shou Jing Fang. Also the record about Liu Wangxuan should be changed as Liu Yingxuan.Furthermore,Yang Jiucheng didn't serve as the proofreader according to field visit and thus should be deleted. This book was firstly collected in Manchuria medical university during the reign of southern Manchuria and later collected in central health center in the Minguo Period, then collected in the library of the Academy of Chinese medical sciences since the founding of the people's Republic of China.According to the researches of tonic prescriptions in the two volumes of Fu Shou Jing Fang, nineteen prescriptions are widely circulated and very useful still now.Such as Tai Chi pills(???)Hu Shang Shu Zhuang Yang Dan(??????),Yi Zui Bu Lao Dan(?????).Further researches have been conducted in its main treatment, formula compatibility, drug processing and influences These three prescriptions are of great practical use in clinical application, especially in health preservation. After moderate adjustment and change, these prescriptions should be applied to sub-healthy population or been used in beauty industry to create bigger industry value.3.Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????)The author,Feng Shike,'s father interested in medical books, thus Feng Shike was influenced greatly. He compiled four volumes of Zhong Miao Xian Fang, one volume of Shang Chi Zha Shuo(attached one volume of Jing Mu Lv Yan Liang Fang),collected in the San San Yi Shu(????).Tthe author of Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????)collected in Bibliography of Chinese medicine is wrong,Yang Yingzhao should be erected as Feng Shike. The publishing time,twenty-three years during the reign of Wanli should be changed into 14 years during the reign of Wanli. This book was firstly collected in the library of Manchuria medical university then preserved in central health center,at last shifted to the library of China Academy of TCM where it is preserved well since the founding of the people's Republic of China.Through researches on tonic prescriptions in the first volume of Zhong Miao Xian Fang, prescriptions are hardly to be insure first seen in it.Given the limited time and energy this part will not be discussed for the time being.Through above researches,She Sheng Zhong Miao Fang(?????),Fu Shou Jing Fang(????),Zhong Miao Xian Fang(????)collected in Bibliography of Chinese medicine by Manchuria medical university are detailed in content while some parts are neglected and thus need further investigation and study.Researches on the tonic prescriptions o these two books reminds us that there is still a long way to go in the usage and improvement of ancient prescriptions. It is necessary to study deeply the main treatment, drug compatibility, drug processing and circulation if the ancient prescriptions are to be applied clinically.Only through intense researches can we suit the remedy to the case and promote the development of TCM.
