Basic Issues Of Contemporary Life Technology Ethics:A Philosophical Examination Under The Body Theoretical Context

Human person and person's life are basic issues throughout ethical issues of life technology,and always affecting the research and solve of other ethical issue's in life technology.The absence of body in contemporary ethical research of life technology is caused by the vague definition of person,person's life and death,the separation of self and body,the poor judgment of the rational autonomy.Human person as the main ethical concern of life technology is neither pure ideological"spiritual entity",nor the pure extensional "mechanical body." The self in modern western philosophy was deconstructed by the rising of body theory and the constructing of philosophical intersubjectivity,and then back to the world.As the basis of self-constructing,the body is neither purely flesh nor the container of the mind,it is a location for people to interact,communicate,and is the unity of thing-in-itself and thing-for-itself.Human person should be defined by the body,started out from a purely primordial phenomenon,from the most simple and the basic feature,taken into account every particular individual,including both normal and abnormal ones.Only on this basis,can we better reveal the complex states of groups and summarize the common nature and characteristics of different aspects.Although anencephaly,vegetable,etc.,do not have the mind,consciousness,emotions,will and can not do other activities as the normal person do,do not form or have already lost the self cognitive abilities,they all have the same head,trunk and species' life as the other individuals have,they also have life intuition and enjoy the human dignity.As the object concerned by life technology,person's life is the unity of species' life and kind' life,which is not only different form "life will" and "life to power",but distinct form"life impulse" and "life stretches".Species' life and kind's life are not the kinds of life which exist in two different styles,but two different attributes united in person's life.Human nature does not solely depend on the kind' life,but depend on both the kind,life and species' life.Human person's species' life is socialized,have dignity attribute what the animals' kind' life do not have.There are not always positive relationship between kind,life and species' life,between the quality of life and the value of life.The process of analyzing Human's kind nature is inseparable form the kind' life,but kind' life is not the necessary and full condition to judge if the individual a human person.On the contrary,as human person,an individual must have species' life.species' life is the necessary and full condition to judge if the individual a human person.Human person's life not only has the feature of the time,but also has the feature of the space,what is the unity of the "space-time" and the "real time".Kind'life,species' life and the body are co-space and co-time existence,the presence of life appeared through the body which existing in the time and space,this has the special meaning and value for judging the moral status of the fetus.As an indirect method,analogy cannot confirm the existence of the vegetable's consciousness,and cannot falsity no brain child,vegetable and so on does not have the moral right to life.The existence of the consciousness or conscious ability should not be the premise of the enjoyment of the right to life,although the vegetables lost the conscious ability of human person,but there is still intrinsic value of their life,and also have the moral right to survive.As the invisible "car" of human person and person's life,life technology lead to the alienation of the body,which is obvious in the shielding of the body,make the body lost its real existence in the "car",then,body is no longer the primordial natural one,but become the reformed object,and on the other hand,the body alienated form itself and become the other existence.The embodied nature of self and the unity of mind and body were suspended,which form the obstacles in the identity of the self and body,and mind,thinking,feeling,and perception,etc.are arbitrarily set aside,which make person become a "cyborg" and mechanical existence.The technique alienation of the body and clone is the logical result of reductionist thinking,person's life and consciousness can never be mechanically copied and cloned.We cannot clone human body straightforwardly as the way we make machine.Technique alienation should be regulated in the limit of the moral bottom line of the persons'rational autonomy,personal dignity and self of body.The maintenance of the individual life and personal dignity need the presence of the body,all benefits and value judgment should take body as the criterion.The existence of the personal body and personal dignity are higher than any other aspect of personal value and interests,and with the indisputable priority,and can't be traded.As long as what we said is the individual human person,regardless of his physical condition and identity status,all have the equal right to life and dignity.Defending the sanctity and dignity of life is the basis of establishing the deontology in life technology,and is the original point of the moral judgment in deontology.Only in the process of internalization and adjustment,can technology and morality get the healthy development.Human's body is just the basis for judging who is the human person,rather than the scale to distinguish different individual human person.The difference between human persons is mainly in their personalities,personality is the coordinate of self-identification.But there is inherent correlation between the self-identification and the body.Physical embedding is the basic approach to maintain a coherent sense of the self identification.If or not the body which is alienated by the technology,can obtain self-identification is not a purely individual's self reflective understanding,but the constructive process of the interaction between the individual and the social.To achieve the unity of body and self directly concerned with the individual's living faith,dignity and social integration and other issues.The root of moral conflicts in current life technology lies in the way of the construction of the moral principle.Dichotomy between mind and body is established on the basis of rationalism,it needs the body intuition or the irrational decision as supplements,because the absence of body can not be applied in the embodied individuals.
