Study On The Comparative Criticism About Han And Liu's Proses

To equate several people in literature history has some meanings in literature criticism.It could reflect writers' achievements and features,the changes of writers' position in literature history,as well as the aesthetic atmosphere of each era.Equating Hanand Liu ? has been just the case.This dissertation focused on comparisons of Han and Liu in ancient times.Under the background of interactions between conceptions and literature cases,ideas of acceptations and evaluations in Han and Liu' s proses will be reevaluated.And the question why Han and Liu's proses could become apotheosis will be answered.The first part' Conceptions' examined the progress of equating Han and Liu and the influences of this phenomenon in Song dynasty,trying to point out this was the origin of related statements-considered Han and Liu as the leaders of prose movements-which were not all the truth but were great achievements in Song literature in modern period books.Then the ways of equating Han and Liu will be researched.Finally,I will choose some important models of equating Han and Liu to discuss the processes from having bias towards one part to pay same attention to each part in different tones,such as Lin Shu's Research of Han and Liu's Pproses which modeling the later inclination with modern academic ideas and Zhang Shizhao's The key To Liu Zongyuan's Prose which high evaluated Liu's prose subjectively.The second part called 'the succession of teachings from a master to his disciples'.I would like to date back the relationships of Han and Liu's prose and earlier writings like Six classics,history books,the philosophers and prose in the Western Han Dynasty(206 B.C.-A.D.24)and the Six dynasties(A.D.229-589),and to find out how ancient writers'opinions about the succession of Han and Liu's prose and point out both writers made innovations on the basis of successions.At the same time,some people praised Han's prose epitomized prose' writings' advantages while criticized Liu's prose had some imitations.The last part 'type of writing' compared Han and Liu's prose' types in ancient literature criticism books and 26 famous articles' anthologies.From this comparison,Han's prose were almost superior to Liu's prose except the type miscellanea.Besides,readers preferred Liu's prose in types of preface and postscript,biography and Cifu(a literary form,sentimental or descriptive composition,often rhymed).Finally,Han and Liu's epigraph writings would like to be researched and the conclusion Han's related writings were better than Liu was reasonable.However,Liu's epigraph had specific characters which deeply owned emotions exceeded Han's writings.This was ignored by each era's commentaries.I would like to understand literature works through examining ancient criticizes.And also correcting mistakes of these criticizes through researching literature works,trying to make positive interactions between works and criticizes.The first part 'conception' summarizes the whole dissertation,mainly concentrating on the comparison ideas of Han and Liu's prose comments which were deeply stated in the two latter parts.
