Plant image is a common image in poetry.Based on the plant image description,poetry not only preserved the original experience of meetion of "human and nature",but also the reflective understanding between "human and the world" and "human and human".We can not only found perceptual or formalized beauty,but also see the metaphor of our own "soul" in the plant.Therefore,the analysis and research of plant image in poetry is a necessary part of the research on human specific life experience and deep conscious structure.It is also a reliable way to set the boundary of language potential,human understanding and imagination.At the same time,it is a clue to sort out the the history of literature or poetry efficiently as well.This paper attempts to study "the problem of plant image in Chinese contemporary new poetry." This paper attempts to make the problem of "plant image in contemporary new poetry" as the core.It is followed by a number of "sub problems"and systematically sorted some problems which may be relate to other fields.In addition,in the process of discussion,this paper attempts to link the whole discussion of "Plant Poetry" to the details analysis of the poetry text.As for the research method,this paper mainly adopts the method of "close reading" to analyze a number of poetry text in accordance with the four meanings that included in "plant image",which is the"consciousness" layer,"language-rhetoric" layer,"experience-scene" layer and"symbol-concept" layer.At the same time,the paper draws on the theory of thing logy,psychoanalysis,mythology and some methods of generalized phenomenology and"drift theory".It explains the meaning of generation mode of plant image.This paper is divided into the following sections:In the preface,firstly,this paper explains why do we study the "the problem of plant image in Chinese contemporary new poetry";And then,carding the three study paths of "plants in poetry",that is "thing logy-natural history" path,"poetic-literary criticism" path and "classics-mythology-philosophy" path.Based on reviewing and summarizing previous related literature,then,the paper will explain the basic concepts,the main methods and chapter structure.In the first chapter,the paper analyzes "the transformation from ancient to modern of plant image in Chinese poetry".The ancient and modern poets' writing of plant species and the occurrence frequency have a remarkable division.The divergence of language features,the rhetorical strategies,the spiritual temperament and the poetic ideas behind presupposition in their writings are huge.This chapter tries to explore the writing style differences between Chinese contemporary new poetry and Chinese classical poetry.In the meantime,it explores its historical origin,and reveals the differences between the ancient and modern poetic philosophy and spiritual civilization which was embodied behind.In the second chapter,the paper discusses the "tree" image in Chinese contemporary new poetry.This chapter discusses the "tree" of the poetic into five steps:first,we discuss "the tree as the soul image";second,"the woods as the primal scene";third,we discuss "different kinds of trees",including "the conceptual tree" and"the empirical tree";then,we discuss "every part of the tree",including the "root","branch","leaf' and "fruit";finally,we analyze the position and significance of the"tree" who witnessed by poetry in human life.The analysis of this chapter focuses on"poetic logic of image",and it attempts to explore the pedigree of image,the image which carries the metaphor and symbol concept and the deformation mode of image.It explains the life experience which is connected with the "tree" in the poetry from the perspective of soul morphology and deep conscious structure.In the third chapter,the paper discusses the "grass" image in Chinese contemporary new poetry.Firstly,this chapter briefly combs the "grass" image in Chinese classical poetry;then,we analyze the transformation of Chinese contemporary new poetry from "prairie writing" to "brushwood writing";later,according to several contemporary new poetry works,we analyze various forms of "grass" which as the symbol of the "life";finally,we make comment on the condensed civilization,individual and historical experience in the image of "weeds".This chapter is also accompanied by a special discussion on analyzing the writing style of the images of"bamboo" and "rattan" in contemporary new poetry.In the fourth chapter,the paper discusses the "flower" image in Chinese contemporary new poetry.From the perspective of civilization,this chapter analyzes the "flower" in Chinese classical poetry.Then,according to the symbolic meaning,we divided the "flower" image into "Eros flower","female flower" and "daily flower" in contemporary new poetry,and the "garden" image are analyzed.This chapter points out that the evolution of "flower" image in the poetry is closely linked with virtue,Eros and the fate of women in history.The fifth chapter is the discussion of the "crop" image in Chinese contemporary new poetry.Combined with close reading this chapter analyzes the image of "food","grain","vegetable" and "fruits" and any other images.It indicates that Chinese contemporary new poetry shows multi-channel to "crop" writing;then,through the analysis of the crop image in Chinese contemporary "farming poetry",it discusses the prospect and the trend of the contemporary "farming poetry".In this chapter,only this kind of writing is real,concrete and credible,the attention of poetry to "daily things"will be implemented in the attention of "crop".In the conclusion,we summarize the previous discussion,and look forward to the multiple possibilities of "plant poetics".We propose that the contemporary "plant poetics" needs to get rid of the dominant mode of classical "moral narration" and move towards a more open and pluralistic way of poetry writing.The study of plant image is a passage to the core and mystery of poetry.The intent of this study not only analyze these works of plant imagery writing in Chinese contemporary new poetry,but it is trying to restore our perception and sympathy for plant life,to activate our own subtle sensitive to Chinese,and then reshape the integrity experience of our life through careful and patient reading.
